1.     Date Night

I was in a mood. Tonight was my date with Aron and I felt physically sick. I hadn't been out with a guy in an age. “What am I going to wear?!” I yelled in Jessica’s face. “Whoa calm down Beth. I can handle this” Jessica bounced into my room like an excited puppy and flung open my wardrobe doors. She surveyed my clothes with a look of mild disgust. “Don’t worry” she said sounding uncertain. But then I could see the metaphorical light bulb of 'aha!' appearing above her head."There's only one thing for it" She said with a serious nod. “No Jessica” I said “Yes Beth” she assured me calmly. “No Jess don’t do it” I warned. “Shopping!” she screamed. “Nooo!” I screamed back making a run for the door. She pounced on me pinning me down. And I have to admit that girl is damn strong! Must be all the gym and jogging sessions. She dragged me through some random girly store looking at random girly clothing that would never suit me. I tried to usher her along so that I could get out of the revolting store.  "I am working here!" She squealed everytime I attempted to move her, finally she bought some random girly crap. I was hppy to go home empty handed. Thank goodness we were finished. When I decided on a pair of black skinny jeans and a tight emerald colour top I put on a pair of black baseball shoes that felt very unfitting for the outfit by the way, and a choker necklace.  Now I was a little nervous. But I was prepared to escape quickly before Jessica could basically pounce on Aron, scarring him for  the rest of his lifetime. I had my jacket on and a black clutch purse right beside me. The door rang and I made it there just before Jessica could inspect Aron and flung open the door “Hi Aron” I said with false cheer, meanwhile blocking Jessica from the door. “Beth, you look absoloutely charming""I could say the same for you" I said in a mock flirty voice. He gave me a big smile. “I‘ve got a cab waiting” he informed. “Well then let’s go” I said whisking out the door and pulling him after me. We hurried downstairs into the cab. “The Mocking Jay, please” Aron told the cab driver. We hopped out at the Mocking Jay and were greeted by a smily teenage girl. She led us to our seats and took our drink orders. When she returned we had perused the menus, I got a chicken stacker and Aron got spaghuetti bologneuse. He offered me some when it cam and I excepted.  I was sucking in a particularly long piece of spaghetti when it started tugging I followed, don’t judge me I was pretty hungry. But before I knew it, it had happened our lips had brushed gently. I moved back. Oh God Lady and the Tramp much! I thought. “Sorry Beth” Aron sounded like he had just melted, I couldn't tell if it was from embarrasment or... Something else. “It’s okay” I whispered back. Aron got a cab for us. When it dropped us at my building he didn’t tell it to wait. That's ambitious, Aron I thought. “Bye Bethany” he said softy and I realised he hadn't been hoping for an invite up to my apartment he had just wanted to see me off.. I leaned in and kissed his cheek. But before pulling away I whispered in his ear “Don’t ever call me Bethany again” Before spinnng round giving him a wave and running upstairs to my apartment. I knew Jessica would be practically waiting at the door to hear everything. I slipped into our apartment. Jessica leapt in to the living room “Sooo…?” she pressed with a wide grin. I told her about the little Lady and the Tramp incident. And she was all like 'did you just call your date a tramp.' Then we had to watch the movie just to jog Jess's memory and she cried for some reason, nostalgia I'm guessing or maybe just hormones. I never can tell with her. I was just sitting there being cried on, watching dogs kiss and wondering what I'm doing with my life.
