I lifted my head off the pillow and gazed round my room. I felt Aron's warmth beside me and burrowed under the blankets and practically on top of Aron. He was on his belly. He rolled over and looked at me wearily. "It's only like 6:00am why are you awake?" He asked yawning widely. "I just woke up, but I'm going back to sleep now" I said, snuggling into his chest and drifting off to sleep. I had a dream I hadn't had in a long time. The one where I'm chasing Aron into the darkness. The harder I pump my legs, the slower I go. When I scream his name it comes out as barely a whisper. I woke up screaming, Aron jumps and looks at me. Tears are streaking my face and I'm terrified. Suddenly my stomach flips, I sprint to the bathroom and throw up. When I came back Aron wrapped his arms round me and hugged me to his chest "Shhh, it's alright. I promise everything's fine" He hushed me. Rocking me like a baby and stroked my hair gently, combing it with his fingers. "What happened Beth?" He asked me gently. "I had an awful dream" I whispered. He must have asumed it was about the movie, I was glad of it because honestly the dream was a silly thing to be afraid of. Wasn't it? Aron looked at my clock, it was 9:00am. I had a temperature and felt like shit. Aron carried me, yes CARRIED me into the living room and set me on the sofa. He grabbed the quilt and tucked it round me. Aron tidied the house quickly and put on the lamp. He grabbed me lots of books and magazines and handed me the remote. He made sure the T.V was down low so it didn't hurt my head. I snuggled up and Aron made me his own special chicken soup. "I've trained you well, my little servant" I laughed and teased him. Aron even rang the summer scheme centre and explained I wouldn't be in. I felt sorry for him, he had to deal with that wierdo that gave me the job. Aron placed the soup in front of me on a tray I didn't even know I owned. He had put bread on the side and made me orange juice (more succesfully than last time I might add.) All day Aron tended to me, bringing me water and soup and best of all cuddles. Jess still wasn't home. "Where's Jess?" I asked Aron, incase he knew. "Oh, I forgot to tell you they went to the beach today" He said distractedy, as he was reading the newspaper. "Jess would never miss a chance to go to the beach" I laughed, my voice hoarse from a sore throat. Aron smiled. I wiggled my toes, they were poking out from under the blanket. I started rubbing my feet together, I always do this when I'm thinking. "Aron, may I please have some more?" I asked holding out my empty glass of water, Oliver Twist style. He grinned, flashing his perfect white teeth. He took the glass and went to the fridge, then filled it with cold water. Aron also grabbed one of the headache tablets. "Here you go" He said handing me the water and the pill. I ate the pill and took a swig of water. "Aron did you have braces as a child?" I asked innocently. "Yes" He said. "Did anyone make fun of you?" I went on and instantly regretted it. "Yes, this kid called Charlie Parker called me Braceface and I punched his two front teeth out and gave him a nosebleed. But Parker gave me a black eye." Aron recalled. "What a little bastard" was all I said. Aron ran his hands through my hair gently. He smiled at me again. "Aron, I'm gonna have little sleep" I announced with a yawn. Aron fluffed me pillow and brought me more water. He tucked the blanket round me properly and turned off the light. He explained he was just gonna go out for some coffee and more headache tablets. I snuggled down weakly. Aron knelt beside me and brushed a loose strand of hair from my face. "Bye Beth" He whispered and kissed my cheek. He got up, zipped his jacket and went to leave. "Wait Aron, I-I want to ask you something" I called after him hoarsely. Aron came back and knelt beside me "Yeah?" He asked softly. "Why are you doing all this?" I asked him. He looked taken aback. "Because I love you" He responded, then kissed me and left. I lay there for a moment, blushing.
