Camila
When boarding the plane I was all smiles.
Don't get me wrong I loved Toronto but all the media surrounding the all star game was getting too much for me. An added bonus was that I wasn't going to have to see Zach.
"Bye Toronto, Bye Canada!" Ayesha yelled at the top of her lungs. I rolled my eyes as I tiredly pinched Klay's back to get his attention.
"Where are we going?"
He scratched his forehead, "Baby I've been telling you. We're going to Boston and then you and Ayesha are heading back to the bay while we finish up a game in Detroit."
I pouted, "I'm gonna miss you boo"
He chuckled, "It's only for a day. We've been apart from each other much more than that."
"I didn't say it was easy."
He ignored me as he looked through something in his bag. He proceeded to take out a big bag of a variety of different candy.
"Since you've been having a sweet tooth and don't worry sweetheart we have a ten game home stand. I won't be flying in three weeks."
I jumped in his arms, "I FEEL SO HAPPY!"
Stephen and Draymond walked in, instantly eyeing the candy. Stephen being much faster nudged Draymond in the hip and grabbed my bag.
"ME TOO!"
"Boy you better share." I said glaring at him.
Draymond held his hip in pain, "Hmm boy you better watch out."
Stephen smiled, "What can you guys do?"
Ayesha walked in with a smirk on her face. She looked angry and well very much pissed, "I think some players are here..." now she whispered, "Zach Lavine and Andrew Wiggins."
Klay sat up from his seat, "Oh hell no." He said as he walked past us all and by the entrance of the plane.
We all followed. Being the nosy people that we are.
"I just came to give my girl a goodbye kiss. Baby come out!" Zach yelled.
Before anyone else tried to defend me, I knew the strongest thing I could do was speak for myself, "Your girl? What kind of respect are you showing there! I'm a mother. Not one of your little hoes. I have to set a good example for my son! Don't play with me. I don't roll like that."
"But—"
"Bye ain't nobody wanna hear what you need to say .You're selfish."
Klay pulled me back sensing how tense I was getting, "We'll handle this on the court like real men. I've done this shit before man. But you ain't gonna get nowhere playing like this."
I smiled as Julie sent me a picture of Mason's drawing. My baby. He's getting so big it's crazy.
Klay seemed to have handled Zach as he walked back in the plane with a mixed expression on his face. I hate that he's pissed, but damn does he look good.
"I'm dropping seventy on the Timberwolves. End of discussion."
Boston
We met up with the rest of the team at the hotel. Everyone was congratulating the guys on their performance and for representing the organization.
Fans were lining up to attempt to get a autograph or even a picture with their favorite player. I felt bad because it was supposed to rain and they weren't allowed to come in if they weren't hotel guests.
Which may I add only a few people were. The hotel was booked for the Warriors.
"Camila and Klay here you are." The manager said as he showed us to our room. We were only gonna be here for two nights, but damn.
"This is beautiful."
Klay wrapped his arms around me, "Perfect room so we can—"
"Draw" I mumbled sensing that the manager was still around.
He shook his head as he went to get the rest of our stuff, which is mostly my stuff.
"If you need anything please contact us and I'm sorry about the loud fans." The owner apologized.
I shook my head, "No it's perfectly fine. I wish we had something to cover them up from the rain though. Wouldn't want anything of them catching a cold."
He chuckled, "it's their decision to be out there."
"I'm aware. But they are fans. I remember waiting out there in the rain when my grandpa took me to see the bulls. It was a uncomfortable position to be in, but the only thing that kept us motivated was that we might meet one of the players."
"You're right Ms. Thompson. I will see if I can schedule a meet and greet with the team."
"I'm not a Thompson."
"But you will be." He chuckled, as he finally left.
I threw myself onto the bed as I remembered all the events in Toronto. I had a really good time, in spite of the fact that Zach was trying to sabotage my relationship.
"Hey baby how are you doing?" Klay asked as he set down our luggage and walked over to the bed. At this point tears were streaming down my face.
"I'm good." I said forcing a smile upon my lips.
He sat up, "No you're not"
"It's Katey. I feel like I've wronged her. She's in prison because of my actions."
He stood up now, "Do not even say that! She locked you in a basement just for her benefit. This wasn't your fault. In fact you've wronged me for saying that because if you weren't alive I would be worse off."
"It's like I have a burden on my shoulders"
"Camila Morgan. I have a tattoo of your initials on my ring finger. You shouldn't have to have nothing on your shoulders. I love you and you always have us."
