Another Chance & Disappointment

Next morning I wokeup, handed over the keys to Kritika and left for home.
I reached home, my heart kept on provoking me to call Jiya but my mind didn't allow.

"She also can call me, why should I call her everytime ? Anyway she is enjoying with her that colleague there, she doesn't care whether I am living or dying here, huh, like other girls she also has changed I am not going to call her anymore."

I kept my phone for charging, rushed into wash room, got freshen up, came out and checked my phone. Time was 10:20am. I rushed to the nearby canteen for having breakfast, there also I proved to be unlucky as breakafast was over.

The people who work in food industry are often left empty stomach.

I came back home and checked my phone in hope that Jiya must have called. Yes there was a missed call. I was damn excited to see Jiya's name on the screen but I again proved to be unlucky. It was a call from Anamika, Career Consultancy.

(This time it was a different number)

I was so happy that ultimately I got a call from Career consultancy.

Maybe the same lady Anamika had called me :)

Maybe she has got a job opportunity for me, I will talk to her properly, last time I was so rude to her !

I just quickly dialed the number back, after a ring of 10 seconds a gentleman picked call

He: Good Morning Career Consultancy, how can I assist you today ?
Me : Hi Good morning, I got a few calls from this number, I guess the call was from some Anamika !
He: Anamika !!! ???

The moment he said "Anamika!!??", I heared voice of a lady in background saying, "hey, is it Neeraj ? It's my profile, transfer the call to me."

The gentleman was really gentle, well all are gentlemen in front of women. He transfered the call to her.

She: Hi Neeraj, I am Anamika from Career consultancy, we have shortlisted your resume for a new opening, are you looking for Job change ?

Me: Ma'am actually... I.... I... am interested but can you please tell me from where you have received my resume ?
She : Sure Neeraj, we have received your resume from linkedin.

Me: Oh Okay ! This opening is for which company ma'am ?
She : Neeraj as I can see that you have completed your Hotel Management from IHM Bangalore also you have specialised in Bakery and Patissery, we have an Opening for you in the Radisson, Bangalore as Trainee Sous Chef.

(Sous Chef is a higher designation in Hotel industry, its like being a head chef)

Me : But I have never heared of such a designation. Sous chef is there, what is this Trainee Sous chef ?
She : Neeraj, here Radisson has many non tech chefs who have great experience but they want a Hotel Management graduate who will be a trainee for sometime and then after completion of training he will be promoted to Sous Chef.

Me: Oh okay, Got it ma'am, I am interested when is the interview ?
She : I will give you a call by 6 pm as the Hotel Management hasn't given us a shedule till nowm we are waiting for the same. Once it is decided we will let you know, I am forwarding your resume to the hotel Okay Neeraj !?

Me : Sure ma'am please do it. Thanks a lot, thanks a lot !

Ma'am.... A... Anamika ma'am !!!

She : Yes Neeraj, any questions??

Me : A.... a... Actually.... Nothing much ma'am, I just wanted to say I am sorry for yesterday, I didn't talk to you properly. Please don't mind !

She : Hey ! I don't think there was anything as such !
