Somewhere Over the Darkness (Remy POV)

I never liked the darkness. I was born to abhor it with ever fiber of my body.

We went into the cave with Leonardo's crudely made flashlight that had an orange glow, large enough for us to light up the surroundings around us. We walked firmly and quietly, no idea how to deduce the horrors we faced. This cave was the only way quicker into the temple in the mountainside.

We would use that altar as an extraction point to leave this island along with Sonic who still held in Alan's back.

The time around my watch told me it was getting late. Pretty soon, it was getting dark, but we had to stay together to ensure survival in our odds.

Oh, if only it mattered most.

Sadly, with only Duck to have low rations and munitions (except for Leonardo, who seemed to have an unlimited amount of bullets, and Alan, for his weapons had used batteries as I do)

Then, with only just us in a dark, scary cave, it was pretty hard to see what was lying around in the shadows.

Yet, then again, Leonardo was still keeping his guard up along with me but Duck was acting suspicious as the dark then does nothing. He was suspecting a trap, an ambush, or maybe creatures coming out of their holes to attack us. But alas, there was nothing to see.

We went out of the cave and found out that the way ahead was likely too clear for us both. Too quiet, so we would expect natives from this island to attack us. Alan started pointing out any possible ambush areas, but there was nothing. Leonardo then raised his ears and after hearing a twig snap, pulled out his machine gun, firing a hail of fire on where he heard the noise.

The Mekboy went ahead and found what looked like a dead native with weirdly made tattoos on his body, some sort of fashion he was wearing, judging the boar head we was wearing, along with a tightened underwear with a Fairy Tail logo, and the limbs were dressed in leather or fiber armbands, and it looked it the native was barefooted.

What a shot made by Leonardo, I never thought he was that accurate with a weapon, as most Orks I fought were poor marksmen. But not Leonardo and his Ork mob, as they were trained like Space Marines. I'll never understand such methods that he created, Emperor damn me if I do.

We stopped at a clearing just a dozen meters ahead to the altar and camped there for the rest of the day due to exhaustion and confusion.

It was getting late, indeed.

Leonardo turned off his flashlight and sat out, only to be so disgusting, when he grabbed the dead native he was holding. He removed all the bullets in the native's chest and started to rip off the limbs and the body.

We all refused when he offered us the parts of the body and he was like "Soot yerselves!" and began eating up the body and limbs all night, ending it by midnight with a loud belch.

After sleeping for a dozen hours, we woke up the next morning and went on on our way. Damnation, how long is the altar? I can't be sure. I doubt when would the fangirls and the fairies stopped going after Sonic.

Then suddenly, a flash appeared at my eyes when I looked right...

I dodged a bullet coming straight at my head and everyone heard it.

"BISCA!"

"GET DOWN!"

We suddenly crawled down to avoid any further sniper shots that came from Bisca Connell, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. We noticed that Leonardo wasn't with us, so we stayed down for an hour until we heard Bisca's scream of pain.

Then when we got up to our feet, we noticed Leonardo, bloodstained with Bisca's blood on his arms and holding his bloodied knife and her head. We were relieved that he killed her discretely without exposing himself. How intelligent for a Greenskin machinist.

He killed Bisca Connell. Such Ork ethnics, I'll never understand these aliens. But, then again, Leonardo was only reborn as an alien.

He said to us "Come on ladz, we'ze got a long way ta go!"

(AN: I thanked Fanfic for that inspiration)

And so that's where we go for now, because we had been close to the temple and arrived there at... 5000 hours.

We sat down, exhausted and nearly out of breath. At least, we stayed there for what seemed to be a long time. Alan started to drop Sonic on his back since he needed to cool off his back, not to mention, sat down, panting.

We haven't ate anything yet, but we just had the fish that Leonardo gave to us while he was chomping down on Bisca's corpse until she was reduced to a skeleton.

It was satisfactory to have seafood while our Mekboy feasted upon a dead woman's body like a cannibal, which in 3 hours, he vomited what seemed to be a brownish bile. He said to us "Oi'm neva eating da breastz agen!" then vomited the last until it was over.

We slept unexpectedly in the night, didn't know who was watching us. I swore I heard what seemed to be some girlish giggle in the bushes and some stones moving magically along with Sonic's faint screaming before passing out.

The next morning...

"GEDUP! GEDUP! ALL OF YOU'ZE, UP NOW! YOU GOTZ TA SEE DIS!"

We all woke up as Leonardo said, with only Alan, rubbing his eyes before putting back his helmet and standing up slowly along with me and Duck rising up quick like regular Guardsmen would do after their sleep.

Duck asked irritatingly "What do you want to show us?!" to Leonardo.

I exclaimed "LOOK!"

We saw what was over us...

A large stone-like monolith that was standing 20-feet tall, etched and carved with some native language (which looked Ancient Exceed), looking degraded and probably weakening. It also held Sonic tight in it's stone restraints in the chest and legs, preventing him to escape.

Alan commented "Well, that was strange."

I thought 'Well now that can hold Sonic more tighter'

Duck stood in the front of the altar, awaiting an attack from an impending horde of what seemed to be a million girls and fairies from Fiore.

We were alerted by this attack as they were so desperate to get Sonic back. We knew that GUN wasn't going to let that happen, so in accordance to their orders, we made our stand as Duck and I went down the altar to face them in melee while Leonardo and Alan remained to attack them in range.

Emperor guide our blades, for this is the time where we strike to defend a hero diagnosed with sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Our parts will be played. No matter the cost.

Don't forget, R&R!

I'm indeed looking forward to make new stories called... well, maybe later, cause high school is breathing down my neck and I'm too busy with everything going on right now.

See ya!
