Chapter five

🙃Hannah's pov 🙂
I stare at her in shock. She's and alpha? But then why is Carter the alpha?

"Ummm then what is Carter, I thought you said he is the alpha?" I ask

"He is, my dad gave it to him, he didn't think any of us would shift to a black wolf, seeing as the only one with black hair in our family can't shift." She says, looking a little crestfallen. I take a minute to proses this information. So her brother, the only one with black hair in their family, can't shift. The guy I've had a crush on since seventh grade is not a wear wolf, but clearly has no problem with someone being a wolf.

I felt a grin spread on my face, and I could see Harriet mirroring my grin.

"Alright we have to go to the pack house. Let's load up." She says heading for the car.

Once at the pack house, after dropping Ainsley of at her house"  we file out and into the house. We are greeted by the sight of alpha Carter spread eagle on the couch, and Sam sitting in the recliner in the corner, in all his shirtless glory. Quite suddenly everything goes black.

❣Harriet's pov ❣
I catch Hannah as she faints. Alpha jumps up off the couch to help me out and to check her out, but I already have her lying on the couch.

"Samuel James put a god damned shirt on!" I yell to the frozen figure in the corner.

"Is she okay" he asks worriedly. I roll my eyes, two mates, hopelessly in love, but nether one will say it. Alpha shotes me a questioning look that I take to mean 'are they mates' and I nod.

"She's fine, now go put a shirt on and watch over her, alpha and I have somethings to discuss."

"Wait, is she the new wolf alpha was talking about?" He cocks his head to the side in a confused puppy manner. Alpha and I nod in unison and then walk towards the kitchen, flowed by Sam to go up stairs and put a shirt on. Alpha and I hear him run back down the stairs and take a seat on the floor pressed up against the couch, a protective tension in his shoulders.

"Did you find anything?" I ask alpha. He shakes his head. "What about your mate?"

"I can't have a guy as a mate, alphas have to reproduce." He says sadly

"If it is a guy than I will take over as alpha, this is supposed to be my pack after all." I say a smirk on my face.

"You don't want this job, it's not all you think it is." He whispers.

I smile. "Alpha, I know what being an alpha means, and I know the responsibilities of an alpha also. I'm ready for this, so when you do find your mate, don't think you have to reject him just because of the pack." I whisper back. I don't know why we are whispering, no one can hear us, but if that's why alpha wants, that's what alpha gets.

We hear a shriek in the other room, Hannah's up. I stop alpha.

"Give them some alone time" I whisper so low I can nearly hear it. Carter nods and slowly we creep towards the window, and quickly bail out of it.
