Harriet's pov
I wake up to an annoying beeping sound, I open my eyes, but see nothing. I kick in me wolf eyes to see in the dark, but nothing happens. I sit up and gasp why can't I see anything. I hear a click, like lights turning on, but I still can't see anything. I hear two gasps before something is launched at me, I shy away from it until I catch a woodsy human sent, it's Sam.

"Why can't I see anything?" I whisper horsely.

"What do you remember?" Sam says pulling away from me.

"Umm.... Cheering for you, it was half time, I was up on the rail, I must have slipped. No wait a hand grabbed me and pulled me off." I say clearing my throat.

"Yeah, one of the other team pulled you off, you hit your head just right...."

"And," I say urging him on, I'm sure there was another person in the room, but they aren't saying anything. I do hear soft crying though.

"And you're blind Harriet, that's why you can't see." The sobs get louder and a pair of arms wrap around me( okay hold on, the sobs in this sentence was autocorrected to AIDS for some reason.... Sorry I was laughing at that continue.). Werwolf. I growl and scoot away from the other wolf, right off the bed. I then realize that I was one of my pack mates, I sniff the air again, Hannah. I open my arms hoping someone would get the hint. Hannah's sent filled my nose as she embraced me, but I could smell a lot of Sam in her too, and excitement, huh well that's new, I can smell emotions. I smirk.

"Oh dear I'm sorry, was I interrupting a Ham moment. Don't mind me, I'm blind please continue. BUT KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS YA." I say, reaching around for the edge on the bed. Once I find a stable surface I stand my self up, some ones hands grab my arm to help but I smack their hands away, I'm blind, not broken. I slide my hands along the surface of the thing my hands are on, is smooth, like a desk or a counter top, but to small to be ether of those. I run my hand along the side of it, feeling a box hand down thing, I soon find something round and smith metal, a handle.

"It's a bedside draw right." I say to the eyes I can feel on my back.

"Yeah." Hannah says quietly.

"Alpha Carter doesn't have bedside tables and neither do I so where am I?"

"Spokane's sacred Heart hospital." Sam relays.

"The bed, is it to the left or to the right?" I say reaching out my hands and feeling nothing but air.

"To the right."

I shuffle slightly to the right until I feel something bump me hand, I run m hand along the papery surface, a hospital bed. I turn my back on it and slowly ease my self onto the bed. I hear the door open, and a new smell wafts in, a smell of authority.

"Carter?" I say hoping I'm right.

"Yeah that's right Harriet." Alphas deep tones respond.

"I would say it is nice to see you, but that doesn't really apply to me." I joke trying to lighten the mood. He growls and suddenly there is a weight on top of me. I wrap my arms around Carter as he curls into me slightly.

"I thought we had lost you. I thought that we had lost our next Alpha. I thought I had lost my little sister." He whispers for only me to hear. Two l sets of foot prints walk out of the door and close it. And Alpha and I are alone.
