~Joey's P.O.V.~
White walls.
White floors.
That's all I saw.
"Whose the guardian for Ariana Brooks?"
We all stood up. The nurses eyes widened. "Come with me." She said.
We all followed her in what seemed like a never ending hallway.
"Ariana is in a coma. She will definitely be okay, but we don't know when she'll wake up. It could be days, weeks, months.." She said.
We were all silent.
"The drivers blood alcohol level was .720. And Ariana's was .550." She said.
I could not believe what I was hearing. I honestly thought Ariana was trying to get better.
I love her, but every time things seem to be going good, something bad happens.
"Are we allowed to see her?" Alan said.
The nurse look confused, "Only one person at a time."
Alan looked at me, "Do you wanna go first Joey?"
I shook my head. Alan walked into the closed room that Ariana was in.
Chad, Caleb and I sat on the chairs outside the room.
"You alright Joe?" Caleb said.
I shrugged.
He patted my shoulder, "She's gonna be okay."
"I don't know what to do Caleb." I said.
"About?" He said.
"I don't know if I can do this anymore. I love her, I really do. But I don't know if I can handle being with someone who has as many issues as her. You know I love helping, and being there for people, but how can I try to help someone who doesn't want to get better?" I said.
"Joey, I can't tell you what to do. I know it must be hard for you, but I think Ariana does want to get better. We don't know what happened tonight. All I know is, you and Ariana were meant for each other." He said.
I sighed, "I need to get away for a while. This is all too much." I said.
Before he could say anything, Alan came out.
"Ariana's dad is on his way here. Guys, I think it's best if we leave for a while. Ariana needs help, and I think it's best if she focuses on herself with no distractions." He said.
We all nodded in agreement.
"Her dad will be here in a few hours. Now, we just wait." Alan said.
And that's what we did for the next 6 hours.
*6 hours later lol*
Her dad showed up around 5 a.m.
"What happened?" He said, frantically.
"Ariana was with her friend in the car. Her friend was drunk, and so was Ariana. Her friend was swerving and they hit a truck. Ariana is in a coma. They said she'll wake up eventually, they just don't know when." Alan said.
I could see the tears forming in his eyes.
"I don't know what to do with her anymore. When I talked to her on the phone, she seemed great." He said.
"Ariana has had some really positive moments recently. I think she just needs to surround herself with the right people." Caleb said.
"I honestly don't know why she hung out with Sam tonight. I was so sure she wasn't going to hang out with her anymore." Alan said.
"I want to thank you guys for staying with her these past couple weeks. I really appreciate it." He said.
"Anytime, we hope to see you guys soon." Alan said. "You ready guys?" He said to us.
We nodded.
"Wait, can I see Ariana really quick?" I said.
Alan smiled.
I walked into the room, and what I saw broke my heart. She had cuts all over her head and arms.
I sat down in the chair next to her bed.
I grabbed her hand, "I love you."
I kissed her forehead, and stood up.
"She's in Your hands now." I prayed, before walking out of her room.
