    "BABY

"BABY..." Princeton laughed awkwardly, weighting the roses and bear in his hands. "I love your humor and teasing but wait until the first of April, you nearly gave me a heart attack until I figured your awful prank."

With a slight grimace, Madison looked off to the side and saw a couple people staring. She cursed her boyfriend for going all out and making this much more embarrassing for her.

"Look..." she began, slightly taking a step back. "Princeton, you gave me a nice three years but it just...got boring you know? This isn't me pranking you at all, I'm sorry."

"Really." He faltered. His hands fell limp but he kept a nice grip on the gifts. He was a fool, wasting about two hundred and thirty dollars only to get dumped.

He was not quite sure what hurt more, his wild beating heart as he hoped this was a dream or his empty wallet in his back pocket.

"Sorry." She muttered, and without another word she turned and made her way.

Aside the aching pain and empty wallet, he felt the shame and embarrassment emitting him along with the sympathy he received from everyone who saw the event take place as he walked back to his apartment.

It was a good thirty minute walk of shame, not really sure why he didn't bring his car but he did sure start regretting it.

He managed to get home a couple minutes after six. He carelessly tossed the roses on his table and sighed, looking at the massive bear that he walked to and back from the park. All this dedication for a woman he loved, now he was back to being twenty one and single.

"Might as well keep this." He muttered under his breath and walked towards his room along with the bear. He didn't plan on returning it and getting his one-hundred eighty bucks back.

On the contrary, Princeton liked this bear quite a lot and came to the conclusion that whenever he stayed the night at Madison's house he will be able to sleep on it or just lay on the thing for rest. So he took this as a positive, the only positive of February 14th.

Pulling the blankets halfway down, he grabbed the bear and laid it on one side of the bed and he then laid on the opposite side. Pulling the blankets over them both, he turned off the lamp and let out an exasperated breath.

"Well today was not our day man." He began, his cheeks began to slightly burn. He hasn't felt the feeling in a while, his cheeks seemed to hurt when he ever wanted to cry but he would not let the tears flow.

"Two-hundred and thirty bucks plus tax just to end like this." Princeton continued.

The rest of the night continued with endless bear talking and cheek pains, along with two or three stray tear drops. Princeton cursed himself, the sensitive guy he grown to be.
