It was finally here; the morning of her first day at her new job. She'd been debating what to wear for a couple days now, with Zidane giving her the oh so helpful guidance of 'wear something smart, you won't be out on he field.'

She decided to go with a well cut suit, blouse and heels, her hair down in loose waves and her makeup minimal. This way she thought it would be easier to be taken seriously, god knows it'd be difficult to get their respect. Still, she grabbed her duffel which was holding her sports wear just in case before leaving and locking the door behind her.

Getting into her Audi, she would have felt bad about using the car her brother gave her but she remembered the figure that was in the guys bank account and felt perfectly fine.

Nervously stretching and spinning the hair tie on her wrist, she smoothed her hair before knocking on the door of Zidane's office, just a couple minutes before 9:30, when she was asked for. In no time at all, he opened the door and extended his hand for her to shake once more.

"This morning, you will be meeting the guys and observing how it works around here - gradually you'll be given more to do so you can be integrated seamlessly into the proceedings around here." The frenchman spoke with an authority that no one would dare question but, seeing as it was accompanied by sound logic, it wasn't a problem.

She understood that it was strange having to hire someone in the middle of a campaign, although it was something this club seemed to do a lot. Still, she'd come in over the Christmas break so it wasn't too bad.

"Now, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo Vieira and Cristiano Ronaldo are going to come and meet you first then we'll go down to the grounds." He said, and just as he finished, the tattooed body of Ramos shoved the door open.

Marcelo followed him, his head peaking round the door, giving ramos ramos a look as he sarcastically knocked before entering. He was given a shrug in reply. Following then was the towering form of Ronaldo, sauntering in arrogantly, wearing some tragic gold shoes.

They were introduced by Zidane,
"Guys, this is the new assistant coach, Miss Eleanor Romero."

Ramos shook her hand as expected but not without muttering,
"Is she supposed to be a secretary or a coach?"
She didn't want to ruffle any feathers in her first day so instead of providing him with a withering look she merely looked down at the ground. Because of this, she didn't realise that the reason for his muffled grunt was marcelo's elbow hitting him in the rib.

When Marcelo shook her hand, he pulled her into a brief  hug, saying
"Welcome to the team!" She had thought that he would be one of the nicest, and Neymar never fought with him on international breaks.

Ronaldo also shook her hand civilly, but not before giving her a once over and she couldn't help but feel slightly judged. Still, she tried her best to keep a positive mind as she followed the four men down to the training ground. She was ignored by the three players who were talking animatedly amongst themselves, but Zidane occasionally pointed out things that were important along the way.

When they got to the pitch, Ramos stuck an arm out in front of her, urgently saying, "stop!"

She did as he said, looking at her curiously before he smirked.

"You might get some mud on your shoes. "

A loud whistle was sounded and the team all jogged over to where they were standing awkwardly.
"As I told you all, we have a new assistant coach starting today," Zidane said and she noticed a couple of them look around to see where this new coach was.

"This is miss Eleanor Romero," he introduced her.

She gave a small smile, cursing herself as she realised how nervous she must look, and she had little doubts that the scoffs she heard were aimed at her. A little put out by the lack of support she was receiving from her new boss, she gave him a look as she was sure heard them too.
