Why Now (Juuzou x reader)

The beginning

You were sitting in your room bored as ever with your headphones in your ears when your friend Hana enters your room with a sad smile on her face

Hana: Y/n there's someone you have to meet

You: what's going on?

You and Hana have been friends since she first came to the adoption center when you were 8 she was the outcast but you reached out to her and you guys have been friends ever since, you walk out your room and see a man with a circle on his forehead that was connected to his hair with a seriousness face

Shinohara: is this Y/n?

Hana: y-yes!

He smiled at you and held out his hand you flinched but then hesitantly shook his hand

Hana: she's warms up to people easily but the last person didn't go out too ok

You: he wasn't a nice guy, to begin with, so why was it my fault!?

Shinohara: so Y/n my name is Yukinori Shinohara but please call me Mr. Shinohara

You: nice to meet you! but can I please know what's going on?

Shinohara: well I have learned that your parents have been eaten by ghouls right?

You: yes I don't know why they chose my house my parents offered to go to the park that day

You showed no emotion when you spoke making Hana frown, crossing her arms you sigh at her face

Hana: she said something that really made her relative's upset that they didn't want to keep her they all said she was heartless

Shinohara: why is that?

You: all I said was "so what if they died people do it every day and nothing's gonna change if you cry about it" I just told them to move on

Shinohara: my partner said the exact same thing

You nod your head and slowly look at Hana then back at Shinohara

You: so can I please know what's going on?

Hana: Y/n Mr. Shinohara is going to bring you to CCG so you can fight ghouls you're gonna live with him and his partner

You widen your eyes and smile

You: oh, ok I'll go pack!!

You walk into your room and packed your clothes and devices and put your hair into a messy braid

You: I get to fight ghouls I have to be a good girl now

You walk out with a duffle bag with your phone in hand Hana walked up to you and hugged you you hesitated knowing she's never hugged you before and slowly hug back dropping your duffle bag

Hana: I...I'll miss you

You: me too

Shinohara: are you ready to go Y/n?

You: yes let me just get my candy and I'll be ready

You head to the kitchen and open a cabinet full of huge jars of candy you grab all of them and shove them all them in your bag and held the last one and walked to Shinohara

Shinohara: that's a lot of candy

Hana: she refuses to eat anything else so don't fight her she's gonna try to kill you believe me I've never been that scared of her

You: I told you to keep your hands off! that's why you have that huge scar on your arm

Hana held her arm where the scar was then she gave you one last hug then you tug on your hoodie

Shinohara: it's pretty hot out you don't have to wear that

You: oh, really?

You take off your hoodie and tie it around your waist and look at Shinohara

You: what about you Mr. Shinohara? you're wearing a suit and tie

Shinohara: I'll be fine I'm used to it

After Shinohara signed some papers you walked to his car and he hands you two papers with him and someone else you look closely and realize it's a boy

You: Mr. Shinohara is this boy your partner?

Shinohara: I'm surprised you realized he's a boy most people think he's a girl

You: it was kinda easy people think I'm a boy sometimes

Shinohara: that's weird you look more like a girl than a boy

You: hmm is your partner fun? I would love to play if he's as childish as me!

Shinohara: hmm you seem to have a lot in common with Juuzou he'll like you I'm sure of it

You made a big smile and started playing with your f/c stitches on your arm you didn't need them you just like self stitching yourself you thought you looked cool

Shinohara: ok Y/n this is it

You open the door and look at the huge apartment building you grab your bag and run to the door
