"Barry, I have analysed the tests we did on you when you were in a coma, and there were some..." he paused for a moment, "peculiar results. The particles in your system move and an incredibly accelerated rate. This could grant you.."

"Speed?" Barry interrupted, sounding slightly worried.

"Yes, tell me, how would you know that?" Wells replied, sounding almost suspicious, but Barry failed to notice whilst being worried.

"I got shot today. Well, shot at. But I should've been shot. Not that I wanted to obviousl..."

"Get to the point Barry."

"Yes, I'm sorry. When I was shot at, everything slowed down. And I could just run away as if the bullet was just a snail coming at me. I ran down an alley and when I stopped, my hand was blurred, vibrating. It took me a minute or two to stop it."

"Well then that certainly solves the mystery of when these side affects come in to play. Come on, we need to tell the others."

-------------------------------------------------

"OMG are you okay!?? Barry please tell me you are okay!" Caitlin shouted, running up to Barry.
"Hey, calm down Cait, I'm okay. All it is is some strange... side affects."

The reactions in the room were completely varied. Caitlin was all over Barry, constantly checking up on him. Dr. Wells was just sat in the corner, seeming to be thinking about something. Cisco was going crazy of excitement, continuously mentioning how awesome this was. He then left the room, announcing that he was going to work on a 'suit' for testing purposes. Wells followed, agreeing with the idea that testing will need to be done. This left Barry and Caitlin alone. "Shall we go and get some fresh air?" He asked, secretly meaning to do a lot more than get some fresh air. "Yeah, of course" Caitlin replied, blushing slightly, finally happy to have some time alone with Barry.

-------------------------------------------------

The two of them were sat on a bench in a park, staring out onto a large lake. Caitlin's head was on Barry's shoulder, making him smile to himself as he loved that. It had been like this for around 20 minutes, and Barry was waiting for the moment to say what he had planned, and that moment came when Caitlin mentioned softly "before all this happened, when we were sat on the hilltop, you were about to say something. What was it?" She had an idea of what he was going to say, but you could never be so certain. "That is actually the reason I brought you here. "I know we have both been through a lot, and this may be the world record for bad timing, but like I said before, you are amazing. And you mean everything to me. I was just wondering if you would like to.... erm... go on a date with me?" He then awkwardly paused, and looked into Caitlin's eyes, which was when he realised that she was smiling and blushing majorly, which was an adorable image to his eyes.

"Of course I will", she said, unable to stop smiling.
