Divas and Detention
"No."
"Yes it makes perfect since!" He laughed while staring at us with a 'duh' expression on his face.
"In no way possible will that ever be true." Reagan says with a blank look.
"Dude, do you remember when I called you an idiot?" Coby asked suddenly. "Well this just proves my point." We all laughed while Logan glared at Coby.
He then just turned to Nathan and Adrian, who were talking to each other, for support. "Guys, answer this question." Logan began, grabbing their attention away from their conversation. "If a tomato is a fruit, doesn't that make ketchup a smoothie?" He asked and the two boys rolled their eyes, obviously annoyed, and continued with what they were talking about.
For the past ten almost fifteen minutes, Logan has been trying to prove to all of us that his question was true. When really we all were supposed to work on something that our English teacher, Mrs.Watford assigned. But everyone, including me, just tuned her out and took this as a time for ourselves to talk to our friends. Sadly, Logan Freeman is in this so called 'friends' category.
At first we tried to ignore him, but he kept talking. And as the nice person I am, I gave in and started talking to him about it. I now strongly regret that decision.
Finally, after an irritating forty five minutes with that idiot, the bell above us rings, telling us that school for today is officially over. I grab my stuff, which consists of my binder and my bag, and wait for Reagan to finish packing up.
"Hey do you have any plans today." She suddenly questions me out of the blue. I was about to reply with a simple 'No', until the memories of today, with the devil himself, came crashing through my head. Right, we both have detention for, as Mr. Howard puts it 'A huge disruption of talking during the lesson'. I completely forgot about that.
"Actually...I kind of have a detention this afternoon." I said quietly. I shouldn't even have to go in the first place. He wouldn't stop calling me that stupid nickname, and I guess I told him to stop a bit too loudly.
"Ooo, the good girls gone bad?" She questions with a smirk tugging on her lips.
I chuckled and said "No, I have it for talking during a lesson with Adrian." I explained, mumbling the last part.
"Really?" She says with a frown.
"Yeah." I could understand why she thought I joking. Adrian and I were not the best of friends when we first met. We still aren't but for me to be talking to him so much to get a detention, would be surprising.
"Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
I give her a nod and she smiles and walks out, leaving me behind. I pull out my phone to quickly check the time, and realize that it will start in a few minutes. I would love to just skip it completely, but if I miss this detention then I'll just be stuck with another one. And that would be horrible. I sigh to myself and walk out the door.
As I walk down the hallways, I think to myself. I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be at school for an extra two hours for something I didn't do. I should be at home by now, eating those donuts I saw this morning, that I have been thinking about all day. But no. All those plans of stuffing my face with pure baked deliciousness were now spiraling down the drain.
