Seunghee and Jeonghan finally set up a date. It's so secret they have to meet next town. Seunghee tells Yuta she's going to a family occasion while Jeonghan tells Chaeyeon he's up for an interview for his thesis.
They meet at the train station somewhere far from the city. They decide they really have to talk about their friendship cuz it's getting deeper. They have to tell each other what it really is between them.
She's approaching and she looks like a goddess in his eyes. He blames fate for not letting him know her sooner. That he has to go through this when she's the only person he wants in his life.
"Hi there, were you waiting?" she greets with a smile. She's happy to see him again after a long hard week.
"Just got here. So where do we go?"
"I know a place."
Seunghee has been there and she knows a very nice restaurant located somewhere near the mountains. It's a relaxing hideaway for people with complicated relationships. It's the perfect place for them.
Upon, reaching the place, they rent a cottage and stay there for the time being.
"This place is nice. Good thing you know this," he tells her.
"I really wanted to go back here for a time now. And maybe I just needed someone to be with," she says.
He stares at her as she looks out the mountainside and calls out her name softly, "Seunghee."
She turns to him a little surprised. How long has she wanted to hear him say her name like that? She's glad but she keeps it inside.
He takes a deep breath before saying, "Can I call you that? Just tell me if you don't want to."
She pauses for a moment but smiles otherwise, "Yeah, sure. Jeonghan."
Naturally, he smiles in return. Calling each other only by their names is a big step they're taking. They know it's almost time for them to be together. They look at each other and they know they really have to sort things out now. With so many things going on their minds, the cold breeze blows on their faces as the sun shines on their skins.
The calm he feels when with her is something new and it's overwhelming. He doesn't feel nervous around her anymore and it's a nice kind of tension. Something he has never felt before. Something he looks forward to feeling more.
She feel so at home with him. She feels like she can tell him everything without having to think about how he'd react. Cuz she knows he'd understand her all the same. She feels so good when with him and she wants to be with him, more than ever before.

They order some food and have lunch together. They chat a little and spend the rest of the afternoon just having a good time. For that long while, they sit across each other and by sunset, Jeonghan thinks it's about he moves beside her. He stands up and walks to her, sitting by her side finally.
"Jeonghan..." she murmurs. He's closely beside her now and her heart beats are rolling like crazy.
"There's something you need to know. There's something I have to tell you," he starts.
She braces herself. This is what she has anticipated and if they push through with this, they won't have a chance to turn back anymore.
"I think I'm in love with you," Jeonghan tells Seunghee.
The feeling is unexplainable. She expects this but hearing it directly from him is still indescribable. A lot of worries suddenly engulfs her. Suddenly, she's on an irrational state. But what did she come here for, really? The truth is she wants to hear those exact words. She wants to make matters better for them. She wants to tell him that too.
But she tries to deny him at first, "No, what are you saying? Jeonghan, we both got someone-" she tries to gain her sanity but he distracts her by hugging her tight. He can't let her go anymore. He's decided to take the risk.
"I'm not sure how you really feel but I can feel it. I'm taking the gamble Seunghee. I don't want to let go of the person I felt like I belong to from the very first moment I met her."
This just makes her speechless cuz she exactly feels the same. She just can't voice it out like he does cuz she's scared and she doesn't want to hurt anyone. But this feeling is winning her over more than anything.
She's on the verge of crying when he lets go and faces her slowly. He looks deep into her eyes and this time she stares straight at them. Then tears just starts falling.
"Hey..." he wipes her tears as she bows down in frustration.
"I'm really... happy. I'm really thankful that you feel the same for me. But we can't do this now. I'm still with Yuta. You have Chaeyeon. Even if we feel the same, this is still... we're going to hurt them," she's too focused on the thought that she's betraying someone.
"It will be alright. Trust me. We'll get over this. Don't cry now," he says as he caresses her hair.
"I'm scared. I don't wanna hurt Yuta. Jeonghan, please..."
"They'll be fine. Yuta and Chaeyeon will both be fine. Just stay with me on this okay? It's gonna be alright."
He hugs her tight and she hugs him back. He can feel her pain, she's too guilty of hurting people who doesn't deserve it. And it hurts him too that they have to go through this kind of agony.
And just after letting go, he leans in and gives her a kiss. Gently at first, and she lets him. However, moments later, it escalates to something both of them know is still forbidden, from where they stand now. When they aren't really together yet.
He holds her closer, wrapping her back in his arms, feeling the smallness of her body. He's getting a little too into it that he slides his hand under her shirt feeling her bare skin and the other grabbing the back of her neck to deepen the kiss. This is their first kiss. But it has gone to a point where they can barely hold back their feelings.
She murmurs into his mouth some words she fails to say. She wants to slow him down, but she can't even stop her own self. She wants to kiss him too. She wants to be with him like this for a while now.
He leaves her lips to plant small kisses on her face, cheeks and jaw line. She almost gives in to him completely. But they can't yet. This is already too much.
"No, stop. Jeonghan stop," she manages to blurt out.
He hears her and obliges. He's still conscientious and there's no way he'll rush his way to her without even calling it quits with their partners. He doesn't want ill-will to spread. He doesn't want to do worse than he already has. He moves away from her and bows infront of her, but still holds her arms gently.
"I'm sorry. But please. I want to be with you. Let's make this work," he pleads. "I don't want to spend my days without you anymore."
Seunghee can feel his longing, his overflowing love for her. And she feels the same, it's painful. This situation is now devastating for both them. Where they realize, they're only stealing moments just yet again. She touches his face and lifts it up to face her.
"We'll be together. Let's be together," she stares lovingly into his eyes, as he does the same. With teary eyes she continues, "But first, let's end our ties with the people we're with right now. Okay?"
Tears fell from her eyes, and he quickly wipes it away with his fingers. He cups her face and smiles at her sweetly.
"Yes, let's do that. And please don't cry. You're way prettier when you smile."
That puts a smile on her face. She hasn't heard that line since her dad last did, it's nostalgic. He embraces her then and caresses her hair lightly. She returns the gesture and nuzzles her face on his shoulder.
They both know it's gonna be tough from now on. It's gonna a fight they have to win. But their love can withstand this. They will overcome everything.
