The cold one
By Samantha Cook
I won't miss you
I never do
The thought loss - I shrug
I make you soul stretch and rip
But you never get it
You never will
Poor you, who loved to much
Could not break my cold veneer
Wonder not
I stay solid when you leave
Never to thaw
Never to believe
Love
Say it ten times - is it still a word?
Or a sound you've broken hearts with
For everyone is too involved
It's my choice to stay cold.
-Author notes-
It's a little too dark to win a poetry contest, buta line came to me and I vented. It's the only way I can write, so I'm struggling to finish the fairytale massacre poem.
Anyway, enjoy the darkness, live in the light.
