Chapter 10

Isla's pov

It had been hours, it was almost 7 and Jacob wasn't back yet. I was still in my green dress and staring out my open window waiting for him to come through. I felt my eyes droop. But I held them open. I had to stay awake. Soon I heard a woosh and looked up to see Jacob. I immediately got up and went to him.

"Did you get them?" I asked. He nodded and handed them to me. Even my gun, gauntlet, and blade was there. I looked around for somewhere to change. I saw none.

"Um turn around." I said. He raised his eye brow.

"Seriously?" He asked and I nodded. He sighed and turned around. I took off the dress and tried to undo the corset. But of course needed help.

"Um Jacob, I need some help here." I said. He turned around and his eyes widened at my current state. I blushed.

"Just help me untie this." I said and he went around and helped me untie it. Once it came off I turned away from him but he stopped me.

"Jacob-"

"He did this to you." He said looking at my bruised stomach and ribs. I nodded not saying anything to him.

"I'm going to kill him." He said looking up to me. I blushed and turned around and finished getting dressed. Once I was back in my regular clothes I side in relief.

"Ok let's go." I said and I heard my door open. I saw two Blighters and I grabbed Jacobs hand and pulled him to the window and climbed up to the roof. Once we were on top I breathed heavily. That didn't feel good.

"We need to leave here, now, before Starrick brings more reinforcements." He said and pulled me along crossing roofs. Soon he pulled me into the warehouse I used to stay in.

"What about the train?" I asked.

"It's to far and your hurt." He said coming close to look at me. He inspected every inch of me.

"Jacob I'm ok please calm down. I'm ok." I said and touched his face.

"God I missed you so much," he said and I smiled.

"I missed you a lot too." I said and he pulled me over to sit down on the ground with him. He pulled me closer to him until I was practically on top of him.

"When Starrick captured us. I thought it was over for me. But then when it stopped, I found out he had taken you." He said and I leaned into him.

"Evie told me that you promised to stay with him as long as I was free." He said.

"I couldn't watch him hurt you, I had to do something." I said.

"I know I.. I just... he hurt you it wasn't worth it." He said. I sat up and looked at him shocked.

"Jacob you are worth it. I wouldn't have said that unless I knew you were worth it. I love you Jacob and there's nothing I wouldn't do-" he smiled and looked up at me.

"What?" I asked. He pulled me on top of him.

"I love you too...." he said and kissed me. I sat there shocked just now realising I had said it. I kissed him back hard and wrapped my arms around his neck.

I pulled away needing air.

"Don't you ever say you aren't worth it. You are to me. Your worth every ounce of love I have for you..." I said looking into his eyes. He smiled and then looked down serious.

"Isla, if he would have threatened me, would you have married him?" He asked. I nodded immediately.

"Jacob, I would spend eternity in hell if it meant that you would be safe from him." I said. He hugged me tight and I to him.

"You don't know how much I just want to kiss you and love you forever right now." He said and I smiled.

"You should, never know when we will be kidnapped again." I said smirking. He chuckled and kissed me.
