Jassian - The Beginning of the End

Chapter 6 - Please

We finally settled in our new home.

Cassian told me he enjoyed working on the farm with me and I did too.

It was a lonely life, but at least it was away from the empire.

Or so we thought...

One day while we were working on the farm, Cassian notice a black ship in the sky.

"Jyn! Jyn! We need to go! Now!" he yelled running towards me. Then, he grabbed my hand and we rushed to the house.

When we got inside, I noticed that I was the only one packing up my backpack.

"Why aren't you packing up your backpack Cassian?" I said worrying.

"Jyn... Go and I'll distract them," he had sorrow in his voice.

"What? No they will take you! They could kill you! You're all I have left Cassian I can't lose you now. Not now not ever. Please don't do this," my voice was starting to break.

"Jyn... Believe me I don't want this to happen, but I love you and all I want is for you to be happy and safe."

"You make me happy and you make me feel safe! Please don't go... I love you Cassian."

He looked away "Jyn, listen this is the only way."

I started to cry. This could be the last time I get to see him, but he was the love of my life. And we barley got to talk about our relationship.

He pulled my close in an embrace. "I love you, Jyn."

"I love you too... But I can't let you do this Cassian." I said softly.

"Are you with me?" he asked.

"All the way, but--"

"Then trust me Jyn," he cut me off.

The ship got closer and I finished packing.

On the way out the door, he stopped me in my tracks. He grabbed my hand a pulled me back. Then, he gave me a kiss.

I stopped for a second looking him in the eyes then I turned around and ran towards my ship.

Surprisingly, the ship we stole earlier was still there. I dropped off my stuff and ran towards the house and hid.

I saw a couple off troopers come out and then a very important looking trooper walked out.

I couldn't hear their conversation, but after a couple of minutes. I was surprised to see that the trooper lifted his hand that had a blaster in it and shot Cassian in the leg.

I was starting to feel like I was a child again.

He was dying.

Troopers then picked him up and brought him into the ship.

I started to cry and then the trooper looked around. I don't know if he saw me, but I got up and ran to the ship anyway.

When I got in the air I realized they let me go on purpose.

Then, I turned on light speed away to a planet where I thought no one would find me, Tatooine...
