Chapter 9 - Confronting Him

JYN'S POV-

When I arrived at many ships searching for Cassian looking for a long time.

And then I found him. I herd his voice from afar.

But... It doesn't sound like he is being tortured or like he is being interrogated.

But why? How could he sound like he is having a delightful conversation with a pier?

I walked up to the door way preparing myself for him and then stood in the door way.

He... was in an imperial uniform.

My heart was beating a thousand times faster than before and I thought I was having a panic attack.

"Oh hello my love. I have been waiting for you," he said calmly moving his hand signaling for the commander to leave.

I... Couldn't think. How? When? How long? Is everything I know... A lie? What about "Rebellions are built on hope" or the stolen plans?

"Is this a joke? Is this just some horrible, joke?You can tell me if you are just acting, Cassian" i thought about all the possibilities that this wasn't real, but it was.

"No. Why would it be a joke? Come, come i'll bring you to our room. I requested it on the 3rd floor so you could see--"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS? IT WHAT UNIVERSE MAKES YOU THINK I WILL JOIN THE EMPIRE WITH YOU?!?!?!?" my yelling made his face turn pale.

"I know this is a rough transition, but it will get better. I've seen the truth and power of the empire. I love you, Jyn."

I looked at the floor in disbelief. "Tell me, Cassian. Was it all a lie? The rebellion, our escape, us? Were you all was on dark side?"

He stopped for a moment.

"I would never lie to you my love. Everything we did and have was real. I was shown the truth about the empire and rebellion."

He took a step closer to me.

"I love you Jyn Erso. With everything I have and am. I want you to be with me forever. And with the empire. We will have more abilities and advantages. We can do great things my love."

I stood there for a moment. He moved closer to the point where we were now face to face. We got closer and closer until he stopped.

"Be with me forever, Jyn." He said softly moving closer and then our lips touched.

This wasn't him.

I need to save him. And there was only one way to do that.

I move back, grabbing his hand to hold it.

"I love you too, Cassian."

We walked to the cabin he was talking about earlier...

"Do you like it?"

He had that look that said that he needed me to say yes.

But I didn't want to.

No, Cassian. I hate it. I hate the empire, I hate everything about this place.

But, I can't. I have to lie for Cassian. I know he's still in there. Somewhere.

"Yes, I love it Cassian."

"Good, I have to go, but feel free to settle in. And If you need anything just ask a guard they will be happy to help you."

We did a short kiss and he left. Almost as if it we had been living like this for years now.

Now. I am going to make a plan to rescue him from the dark side...
