Our Denied Love...

Chapter 2

The sunlight was creeping in from my window which filled my room up with light. I woke up from the brightness and soon got ready for school and walked with Ava to our bus stop. When we got on we went to the back and waited for the boys to come on the bus. Before we reached their stop I looked over what I was wearing to make sure that I looked okay in front of Mark. I was wearing black skinny jeans with a simple gray tee. I had a red flannel tied around my waist with my red vans. I had my hair in a messy ponytail and I had light natural makeup on. I liked this outfit. It was simple and cute. Wait what did I just do. Ugh! What's going on with you Hazel. Right when I finished looking over myself they entered the bus looking all cool and everything. I laughed a little when I saw BamBam push JB and JB started to get all mad. They soon saw both Ava and I and rushed to the back. Mark sat next to me again which made me smile. I mentally cursed at myself after what I just did. I can't like him.
"I'm ready for that tour you promised me." He said.
"Okay I'll give you one during lunch so we don't have to rush. I can also teach you all the camera stuff during our break so that you know all the stuff before photography class." I said.
"Good idea." He said smiling.
I looked away fast so that he couldn't see me blush. I need to get this under control. The bus soon rolled up to the school and dropped us off. I guess I didn't see Victoria on the bus. She might have skipped school or stayed home. I really don't care. We hung out with our new friends before we had to head to class. The morning classes were great and soon enough it was break. Me and Mark were joking around as we heading to Mr. Shay's class. We were going to Mr. Shay's class because I needed to show Mark
how to work the camera and stuff. We entered the classroom and I grabbed a camera and showed him how to put in the battery and the SD card into the rights slots. I helped him take a few practice photos around the class. We went up to a painting and I placed my hands on his so I could help him get it into frame. Mark looked at my gesture then to me. I looked back at him. There was this really weird moment of just both of us looking into each other's eyes. I broke the awkwardness by moving my hands off his. After taking more photos we headed to our seats to just talk the rest of what we had left of our break since we had photography right after.
"So tell me a little bit about your family Hazel." Mark said.
"Well I live with my dad, and my two sisters. My older sister is Victoria and you already know Ava. Ava's adopted and Victoria is my you know blood sister. Victoria always seems to be mean to Ava and I after our parents split. I really don't know why but other wise we are close together." I explained. "So tell me about your family Mark. " I added.
"Well my family consists of my mom, my dad, my brother Joey, my sister Tammy and my other sister Grace. We are all close together. Sometimes we have family fights but we learn how to work it out. We moved here because my dad wanted to start a buisness over here plus my mom wanted to get to know the culture and the environment here. I just went with the flow. My friends parents all worked with my dad so they moved here too." He said.
"Oh that's cool." I replied.
The first bell rang and students came pouring in from the door. After the second bell rang Mr. Shay began to talk about the up coming project.
"I'll be assigning you guys partners now. Tom with Lia, Kyle with Lauryn, Peter with Ella, Jeremiah with Shannon, James with Andrew, Boyd with Antonio, Eden with Duke, Sam with Wyatt, and Hazel with Mark."
"Looks like we're partners." Mark said giving me a nudge.
"Yeah." I replied nudging him back.
"We will start our project next week make sure you bring nice clothes for the pictures." Mr. Shay said.
The rest of the day went smoothly with no problems. The last bell rang and I went to go look for Ava. I looked everywhere from the cafe to I building. I walked past to C building and that's when I realized I didn't check any bathrooms. So I walked to the closest bathroom which was in C building but there was no sign of Ava. I was going to check the other bathroom in B building but I heard a faint cry in the a bathroom that was on the far side of the building. I walked towards the sound wondering who it came from. I walked in the bathroom and checked all the stalls. I checked the last one and I there I found Ava in the stall with cuts on her head, her hair all messed up and with her clothes all ripped up.
"What happened to you Ava?!" I said as I rushed to her after opening the door.
"It-sniff-was-sniff-Victoria..."Ava said with a weak voice. "She and her friends came and attacked me. They hit my ankles and my chest. I'm having a hard time breathing." She added again with that weak voice.
I immediately called dad.
Ring... Ring... Ring
"Hello?"
"DAD! Ava is hurt. She was beaten by Victoria and her friends. What am I supposed to do?" I said freaking out.
"Take her to the health room and I will be there right now."
Beep
"Okay Ava do you think you can walk?" I asked.
"I-I can try." she whispered.
Ava tried to stand but fell to the floor. Her legs were too weak to do anything.
Ring... Ring... Ring
"Hello?"
"Where are you guys?!"
I called the group.
"We are in the girls bathroom in C building. Ava is really hurt and I'm not strong enough to carry her to the nurse's room. Do you think you guys can help me?"
"We are heading that way now."
Beep
"Hang in there Ava, help is coming."
Soon later Youngjae came running first into the stall and carried Ava bridal style.
He quickly ran outside towards the health room with Ava holding onto him tight so that she didn't fall. The rest of them were standing outside waiting for me. As soon as I came outside we all rushed to the health room. When we got there Youngjae was sitting down and holding Ava's hand as she was lying down on the bed. When Youngjae realized that we were in the room he quickly removed his hand from Ava's hold.
"It's n-nothing." He said stuttering.
"Aunty is she going to be okay?" I asked the nurse.
"She's having a hard time breathing and has fractured her right ankle. We already contacted your dad and we called the hospital." The nurse said.
There was soon people coming in with a stretcher and took her to the hospital. We all sat inside the seats that they had in the waiting room. As I sat I looked at everyone. They all looked really worried but Youngjae looked the most worried out of all of them. 
"I am also really worried about her. What if she's not going to be able to breathe? What if she dies after this?" I said as I cried in the seat.
Mark held out his hand and I took it. He pulled me into his body and hugged me. I hugged him back. His embrace felt comforting and protective. I never wanted to let go.
"Hey it's okay I'll be by your side through everything. And I pretty sure she's not going to die from this. Think positive." He whispered to me as he knocked on my head like my head was a door.
I pulled away from the torture laughing.
"Thanks for making me laugh all the time." I whispered back with a hug.
That's when I saw dad opening the door. I came out of Mark's grasp running to my dad so I could hug him. He saw my tear stained cheeks and hugged me tighter.
"Come on we should head to the hospital to see how Ava's doing." Dad said.
"Could we come and see her?" Youngjae questioned softly.
"Who are these people?" Dad whispered to me.
"Oh dad I forgot. These are all my friends that I recently made. They just joined the school a few days ago. There are really close me Ava and I." I said.
They introduced themselves to my dad one by one.
"Okay we better go to the hospital. We'll meet you guys there." I said the group. "Bye."
Dad and I left and headed to the hospital.
"Ugh how could Victoria do this!?" I shouted as soon as we got in the car.
"Relax Hazel.." Dad said trying to calm me down.
"Dad, you and mom doesn't do anything when Victoria hurts either Ava or me. Like I don't know what's your problem! It hurts us more knowing that our own parents aren't there for us." I said crying while facing dad.
Dad just focused on the road saying nothing. The rest of the drive to the hospital was also quiet. I cried softly so that dad won't start talking to me. We reached the hospital and I
immediately took off my seat belt, opened the door and slammed it shut. I quickly ran inside to see my sister. I asked the nurse where Ava was and she lead me to the room that Ava was in. When I entered the room she had all these things connected to her. She opened her eyes and I ran to her side.
"You're going to be okay Ava, you're going to be okay." I said softly as I cried holding onto her hand.
Mark, Jackson, Yugyeom, Youngjae, JB, Junior, and BamBam came in a few minuets later panting. It look like they ran.
"How is she doing?" asked Youngjae while still trying to catch his breath.
"She is doing well. Her normal breathing is slowly coming back but still isn't good. The doctor said that putting her asleep will help her gain the normal breathing faster." I said.
(A/N- I deeply apologize because I have no idea if this is a real thing that is true and stuff. I'm legit making this whole entire part up.)
"Where's your dad?" asked Mark.
That's when I realized he wasn't here.
-Dad's POV-
"Dad, you and mom doesn't do anything when Victoria hurts either me or Ava. Like I don't know what's your problem. It hurts us more knowing that our own parents aren't there for us." Hazel said crying while facing me.
I continued to drive in silence. Should I tell her...should I tell her the reason why Victoria is so mean to them... should I tell her that....
~Flashback~
"If I die don't tell Ava and Hazel. Tell Victoria. Victoria will protect them from this. She has a strong heart and will do anything to protect them." She said
"No. Don't say that you won't die. You are strong! Be strong for our kids. They need their mom." I said crying.
"No this cancer has taken over me. I have no control over my body. Unplug me..."
I saw a single tear roll down her cheek.
"But.."
"No buts just do it. I want to end my suffering."
I couldn't stop crying. I didn't want to lose the love of my life. She is too special to lose.
"No I can't you're too special for me to lose."
"You would rather see me alive knowing that I'm suffering or see me dead knowing that I'm in a better place. You should let me go."
The doctor came in.
I turned to him and said,"W-we want to... unplug her."
I regretted every single word I said in that sentence. I saw Victoria standing at the window crying.
She must of had heard everything. I opened the door and then closed it behind me as I went outside to talk to her.
"Why did you unplug her?!" Victoria screamed.
"She said that she didn't want to suffer anymore. She wants us to see her peaceful rather than worry about her surviving." I told her.
I pulled her into a hug. We cried together as we saw her die.
"She also doesn't want Ava and Hazel to know that she's gone." I added.
~End of Flashback~
..... Their mom died. No I won't tell them. When we reached the hospital Hazel slammed the door and ran inside. I sighed I think Victoria went too far for this one.
Ring... Ring... Ring
"Hello?" asked Victoria.
"You went too far this time. Why did you beat her?"
"Well first of all it's not my fault that I turned into a mean person. You wanted me to be mean because if I was nice to them you thought that I would have told them. You wanted me to be this person and I think that it took my whole body. I didn't want to go this direction ... you did."
Beep
Did I do the wrong thing? Should I tell them? Is it too late to get the loving caring Victoria back?
"I need you right now." I whispered to myself.
-Hazel's POV-
The doctors said that she's breathing normally again but they think that they should keep her overnight just to make sure she is completely fine to go home. JB, BamBam, Yugyeom, Junior, and Jackson went home already. Youngjae and Mark stayed a little longer.
"Do you want me to stay over with you so you have company?" Mark said. "I can get you clothes from my sister. Your small so you should be able to fit it."
"Yeah that would be great. Thanks." I said.
"That's what best friends are for. I'll be back soon. Come on Youngjae I'll take you home."
As Youngjae and Mark left the room Ava woke up from a nap.
"Hey where did everyone go?" she asked.
"They all went home but Mark is going to come back and stay with me here so that I have company." I answered moving closer to her side.
"You sure it's just company." Ava said while moving her eyebrows up and down.
"Ugh go back to sleep it was better that way." I said jokingly.
"Whatever" she said as she turned on to her side so that she wasn't facing me.
I giggled at Ava's small tantrum and went back to my seat. About 20 minutes later Mark arrived with a bag of clothes for him and a bag for me. I changed because it was late and I was getting tired. I sat back down next to Mark. I lend against Mark because I was getting really tired but I didn't realize that my eyes soon slowly closed and I fell asleep on his shoulder.
-Few hours later- 
"Hey sleepy head wake up." Mark said.
I woke up and yawned.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"9:00 am"
"How is Ava doing? Did the doctor come in yet?"
"Yeah the doctor came in and told me that she will be released from the hospital today."
"Okay but how are we going to go home. I don't want to call my dad." I stated.
I didn't want to see my dad because of the talk inside of the car and plus there's the fact that he didn't even come in to the hospital to see Ava. Like what the heck dad. Aren't you concerned even a little about us. Ugh what is going on with my life. First Mark, then Ava, and now Dad and I'm not going to even start on Victoria.
"Hey you okay?" asked Mark. "You can tell me anything. Just let it all go."
When I faced him I felt my heart starting to race. He had a worried look that was really close to my face. Right then and there I wanted to kiss him but I pulled back.
"Okay, right now I'm feeling sad, upset, worried, and confused. I'm sad because my sister is hurt from someone that used to be my best friend but then turned into this monster that has a cold heart. I'm upset because our dad didn't even come in to the hospital to see Ava. Was it because I yelled at him in the car about how he isn't there for Ava and I or was it something else that he isn't telling us? I'm worried because I'm afraid that Victoria might do something like this again to Ava and she gets even more hurt. And I'm confused because I have no idea why my life is like this. It was so great back then when Mom and Dad didn't split up. I barely even she her now days. I don't get phone calls, text messages, emails, video calls, nothing. Dad said that she moved to the mainland because she wanted to be really far from this family. It all happened all of a sudden." I replied crying.
"Hey I know that I might not be able to help you but thank you for telling me." He said wiping my tears away.
"I'm sorry I'm crying." I said turning so that he doesn't see my face.
"No cry. Cry it all out. I know that you're going through a lot right now." he said lifting my face so it faced him again.
Then he pulled me in for a hug. He made he feel safe in his arms.
"Everything is going to be okay soon." Mark whispered to me.
-Mark's POV-
When I pulled her in for a hug I knew then and there that she needs me. She needs someone to be her back bone. I never knew that this kind, funny, beautiful and amazing girl had this terrible life of sad memories. She is strong yet gentle and I love that about her. Wait what?! NO! I can't like this girl that I just met. Not after what happened...
~Flashback~
"Hey why you laughing all of a sudden?" I asked Chloe.
"Oh it's just a text I got from a friend." she answered.
She has been really weird these days. She has a lot of chores to do now days and she says that she is always sick but when I talk to her friends they say that she is fine. We hardly hang out now days. Plus she is always on her phone when we do hang out.
"Why are you always on you phone now days?" I asked.
"What's with all these questions today? Are you okay?" she answered with a sas.
"I was thinking the same thing. Are you okay? You tell me that you're sick but your friends tell me that you're fine. You seem busy but I see you at the mall shopping. It seems like you want to ignore me." I said back.
Chloe got a call from her phone. I picked it up without looking at the contact name.
"Hey babe what you up to?" said the person on the other side of the call.
"Um excuse me what did you just ask?" I said with a angry tone.
"Who's this? Can you pass the phone to Chloe?" he asked.
"Why are you calling Chloe babe?! I'm her boyfriend!" I shouted.
"Well you're wrong I'm her boyfriend."
Beep
I hung up the phone I couldn't believe Chloe would do this to me.
"How could you!" I yelled.
"I-I'm sorry." she answered weakly.
"No you're not! This is over. I'm done with people like you."
I gathered all of her things and threw it out the door.
"GO NOW!" I screamed with hot tears rolling down my cheeks
Chloe got up and walked out the door.
"Josh is way better than you anyway." she mumbled.
I slammed the door and locked it. I went into my room and sat on my bed crying.
"Why? Why does this have to happen to me?" I whispered to myself.
I soon feel asleep.
~End of Flashback~
I just can't fall in love with you. I can't fall in love ever again. I broke the hug and faced her.
"I'll be back." I said then left.

(A/N- I know this book might be boring in the start but I promise you that this story will get better soon ... I hope. Lol. Anyways ... NEXT MONTH COMES FLIGHT LOG: ARRIVAL!!! OMG!! I'm super duper excited. BTS also just came out with a new comeback! I'm so happy. And happy early birthday to me *same birthday as Hoseok:)* I fell like this comeback was a early birthday present to me. Lol. Okay I need to stop blabbering so I can start the next chapters. Have a nice rest of the day/night to wherever you live. Ps: I'm planning on posting a chapter every week/ 2 weeks if that's okay with you guys.<3)
