It's been a week since they joined the school. It's been an incident free week for Oliver and Kate. Though they didn't talk but they never fought. Vicky is happy with her new job and it's salary, while Rob is enjoying the company of his band mates besides Oliver.
"We need a lead dancer for the coming concert. So I'm going to test your dancing skills now" announced their dance teacher.
Then she asked all the girls to perform for a song altogether. From the whole class she selected 4 girls to perform in the concert and two of them are Ashley and Kate.
"We got our team but need lead dancer. So each of you must perform and I'll select one of you."
"Do you need to do that? You know that I'm the best dancer." boasted Ashley.
"You are Ashley but we need to give every one a fair chance to prove themselves."
"There is no one here who can beat" she muttered silently.
Kate heard this and she wanted to beat Ashley at any cost. She's such a narcissist thought Kate.
Three of them danced again and it's Kate's turn. She started dancing remembering her mom who's a dancer and she loves her mom very much. She forgot that there's people around her.
Her mom says "Forget everything while you are dancing remember only you."
Oliver stood there watching her with an awe. For the first time he thought she's beautiful and he forgot their fights. As soon as she stopped dancing everyone started clapping even Oliver clapped.
She stood there watching everyone and thanking everyone. She was surprised when she saw Oliver clapping. He smiled at him and she liked his smile.
"Well that settles everything. Our lead dancer is Katherine."
With that Ashley left the class angrily. And that's the moment Ashley decided to make Kate's life a hell.
Not knowing the further consequences Kate enjoyed the feeling of beating Ashley.
After school, Kate went to the cafe as usual. And after sometime Oliver along with Robert entered the cafe and sat at their usual spot.
Feeling courageous Kate went to take their order.
"Hey, Kate I heard that you became the Lead. Congratulations girl." said Robert.
"Yeah, well it's not a big deal. What's your order I can't stand here for much longer." replied shyly.
"Butterscotch topping with the cold coffee and chocolate for him." ordered Oliver. That's the first time he spoke with her after a week.
Feeling like she won something she made her way back to the counter and brought their order in 10 minutes.
"Thanks." said Oliver.
And that's it. Air around her got sucked and she forgot how to breath. Holding her feeling she ran out for oxygen.
"Him, talking nice is definitely not good for my health." she thought smiling to herself.
And another week passed without anyone's notice. Things got better now Oliver is talking nicely though he didn't talk much he never fights with her. He daily comes to the cafe and orders the same. And after 2 days Kate stopped taking order but brought their order directly to their table.
It's been a routine for both of them. And then there's Ashley planning ways to make Kate's life a hell. But for a week she didn't do anything. So Kate didn't know about her evil plans.
Robert asked Vicky to go out with him. So they are dating.
"Rob asked me to go to their practice tomorrow Kate. Will you come?"asked Vicky.
"I'll come. I'm feeling boring as well."
Next day after their work almost at 10'pm both of them went to the studio. But no one is there so Vicky went searching for Robert asking Kate to sit tight.
Kate is watching the red guitar which is placed near the pole and went close to it.
"It's my guitar" a voice came.
Startled she almost fell. She saw a figure in the dark coming out. It's Oliver.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you."
"It's okay. I'm just looking at your guitar. It's so pretty."
"Yeah well what can I say, I have a pretty good taste" said Oliver.
"In this, I'll agree with you."
"What's wrong with my taste. It's perfect in every aspect."
"You never taste anything other than butterscotch."
"Butterscotch tastes better than any other flavor."
"Just try other flavors for a change and then decide"
"Okay then from tomorrow bring me different flavors.And I'll be the judge of your advise" said Oliver. And started saying something but they were disturbed with the band entering the studio with Robert and Vicky.
They started playing the song and the whole time Vicky's eyes are on Robert.
"Hey there. You might be Kate" asked Ian.
"And you are ?" asked Kate.
"I my darling am Ian." said Ian kissing her hand. "You can come here when ever you want."
"Thanks but I'll be busy usually." denied gently.
As she denied she saw a smile on Oliver's face.
After some time all of them left the place.
