January, 21st, 1915 two brothers named Edwin De Pablo and Jose De Pablo, sail to Europe with a bunch of Americans. before sailing, the brothers were discriminated so they were sealing a part of the rest of the Americans. Probably you know the rest, they were black and the others white.
General Ed Williams told them "We are not going to fight by the flag of America instead we were order to fight as French soldiers." About three minutes of talking then he said "We will be headed to France directly not the UK."
The brothers were ok but the rest of the crew were on panic. Edwin said to Jose "don't wory brother we will go back home alive." then Jose replied "I'm not afraid to die we were meant to do this, I'll see you at the other side." They were almost in France so they were preparing to board.
They arrived in west of France, the brothers were on shock, the french army received them haply. Edwin said to Jose "I wish we win the fight for the french not the Americans." Jose replied "You're damn right, giving my life for a bunch of racist, no... I'll give my life for good people."
