Esperanza's choice

It was the next day and the bells were ringing, the sound of the bells woke Esperanza.

Poppy was with her just in case she woke up. "M-mom? Those bells...." said Esperanza.

"There for AJ." Said poppy as she started crying. Esperanza gasped as she was getting up. "No.." said Esperanza in a weak voice.

"Esperanza, wait you shouldn't be getting out of bed with a high fever like this." Said poppy.

Esperanza then trip. All of a sudden the door started to open. And the first person she saw was AJ. "AJ..." said Esperanza.

But sadly she was all an imagination. And it was just Shiny walking in. "Esper!" Said Shiny as he walked up to her.

"Shiny... I have to go to get there... to the funeral..." said Esperanza. Shiny then placed his hand on Esperanza forehead.

"Esper, you need to get some rest." Said shiny as he picked her up Like a bride and placed her gently on her bed.

"C-can't you just ask Miracle to just heal me?" Asked Esperanza.
Poppy got up from her seat.

"I'll go look for him." Said shiny. As he left the room. Esperanza then started crying. Poppy then hugged her. "Oh, sweetie... I'm so sorry.." said poppy.

"Why? Why did he have to do that? I should have been the one to get my soul taken away, not him..." said Esperanza sobbing.

Poppy stroke her hair. "What AJ did was true love.... he wanted to keep the love of his life alive. Sometimes trolls, Bergens, and others creatures sacrifice themselves to save the ones they love." Said poppy.

Branch then came in. "How is she?" Asked branch. Poppy looked at branch. Branch then walked up to Esperanza.

He tried to think of something that would make her happy. "Hey cupcake, why don't we all go bake some cupcakes later? Once you recover." Said branch.

"Oh, that sounds like FUN....." said Esperanza in a sarcastic tone. Poppy and branch gasped. "Esperanza...." said branch.

"I loved him dad.... and now... now his soul was taken away.... because of me..." said Esperanza.

Branch then put his hand under her chin and lifted her head so that she can look at branch.

"I know how it feels losing someone you love... believe me, i know..." said branch.

"He tried to propose to me." Said Esperanza. Branch and Poppy gasped. "WHAT?!?" Said branch and poppy at the same time.

"He tried to propose to my daughter?!? And at the age of 17?!?" Said branch in his head.

"Oh sweetie! I'm so proud of you! I remember when you dad, proposed to me." Poppy Smirked.

"But now he can't..." said Esperanza. "I'm so sorry Esperanza...." said poppy.

Miracle then came in. "Is she ok?" Said miracle. "I'm fine..." said Esperanza in another sarcastic tone.

Everyone looked at her in sadness. Miracle then used his powers to heal Esperanza. Esperanza's fever was finally gone.

"C-can you guys please leave me... alone?" Said Esperanza as her purple colors turned gray.

They all looked at her. "Esper..." said shiny. "The injures, the sick. Scars. They can all be healed. But a broken heart can't...." said Esperanza as she was sobbing on her pillow.

Everyone then left Esperanza's pod. Esperanza took out a picture with her and AJ in it.

"AJ.. you promise you'd always be there for me...." said Esperanza as she started singing a sad song.

As she was singing she walked out of her pod and saw that there were lots of happy couples together which made her even more sad.

She also stopped at some familiar places were her and AJ had their moments together.

She then started having flashbacks from when she met AJ, the day he saved her from the spiders.

She also had a flashback from her first kiss, and from he sang to her that made her find her true colors.

After singing her song she went to where AJ's lifeless body was. He looked like Snow White waiting for his true love to kiss him.

"Esperanza?" Said CJ. Esperanza turned around and hugged CJ. "Oh CJ.." said Esperanza sobbing.

"Esperanza, I'm so sorry... in know how much he meant to you..." said CJ as she hugged her.

CJ then started singing to Esperanza.

As CJ was singing, Esperanza realized that she can still have hope again. This also made Esperanza's colors come back.

Soon Esperanza started to join in on the song. Singing that song also made her more confident.

Soon all of the trolls and Bergens joined in on the song.

Esperanza was happy again and yet she was also sad about losing AJ.

"Thank you,CJ." Said Esperanza. "Don't give up hope." Said CJ.

Later that day Esperanza made her choice. "Don't worry, AJ. I'll make sure you get you're soul back. I promise." Said Esperanza as she was about to leave her pod, she was then stopped by her friends.

"You're not going anywhere." Said CJ. "Just not without us." Smirked Daisy.
"We're with you girl, all the way." Said Lily.
"Jus know, that you're not alone Esper." Said shiny.
"You are going to need some who can Actually heal." Said miracle.

This made Esperanza happy. "Alright! Let's do this!" Said Esperanza. Soon they all left the village. Esperanza looked back.

"Just hang in there AJ, well free you're soul." Said Esperanza in her head.
