"He was giant! Hagrid's family member or something. Bloody crazy it was," Ron said, stuffing his face with dinner.

"That's crazy," Isabel mumbled.

She just looked at Harry as he ignored her and focused on his food.

Ron continued talking with Hermione and Isabel, although Isabel didn't listen at all. She just watched Harry and wondered what she did wrong.

"Isabel," Hermione snapped her fingers in front of her face, "are you alright?"

Only then did Harry lift his eyes up to look at her.

"Yeah," Isabel mumbled, glancing at Harry, "yeah, uh, I have to go,"

Isabel left her meal uneaten and left the Great Hall.

She walked down the dark hallways of the school and tears silently flowed from her eyes.

She was finally happy. Harry was one of the best things she had. She somehow messed it up and now he hates her, he won't even talk to her.

Hot tears streamed fast as she hugged her sides and continued walking.

"Isabel! Wait!" A voice called behind her.

She instantly recognized the voice as Harry. She did not want to talk to anyone, especially him.

"What do you want," her voice cracking and she spun around and stopped walking.

He mentally kicked himself for doing this to her.

"I want to talk to you," Harry said, walking closer to her.

"You should have thought about that sooner," she retorted. Her lip started quivering as she stood there vulnerable.

"I know, Isabel, I'm stupid, I just don't want you to get hurt," Harry said taking another step towards her.

"Harry, I can take care of myself," Isabel said, taking a step back from him.

"I just care about you too much to let you get hurt, and being friends with me is going to put you in danger and get you hurt," Harry said quietly, "I can't bare to be responsible for you getting hurt."

"I'm not going to stop being your friend because you're the Chosen One. I would gladly stand by your side in front of Voldemort. Harry, I'm not afraid. And you make me happy, and I refuse to let that go." Isabel said. She sounded so confident, yet she felt too cold and scared. She stood there shaking and shivering.

She breathed in harshly as there was a silence. The tears freely poured from her eyes and she stood there, shaking in the cold, damp hallway.

Harry simply pulled her close to him.

She always hugged him to calm him down, he did the same.

He held her close as she cried into his shirt. He stroked her hair and put his head on his.

Isabel breathed heavily, she clung onto his shirt and took in his warm vanilla scent.

She calmed down by listening to the constant rhythm of his heartbeat and her head rested on his chest.

"I'm so sorry," Harry whispered.

"Don't be," Isabel said. She gave a small smile through her tears and she pulled from the hug.

"May I escort you back to our common room, m'lady?" Harry said, bowing down, speaking in a proper, old-fashioned accent.

Isabel giggled, "Of course, my good sir,"

They linked arms and walked to the Gryffindor Common Room.

Isabel had fallen asleep on the couch next to Harry as they were doing homework.
