Somewhere in America...
There's a girl crying, and a man laughing.
Her clothes are torn, her hair's a mess.
He enjoys her suffering as he takes advantage.
Somewhere in America...
There's a little boy dressed for church.
Something doesn't feel right to him.
He goes through the motions.
He hears that liking other boys is bad.
He's going to Hell.
Somewhere in America...
A child is missing, and no one knows where they are.
Everyone is worried.
But, no one really cares.
Somewhere in America...
A woman has bruises, and she's afraid.
Afraid of what would happen if she asked for help.
Afraid of what would happen if her husband found out.
Somewhere in America...
A drug addict is shooting up, or snorting.
Their friend overdosed the day before.
But they don't care.
It makes them feel good.
That's all that matters.
Somewhere in America...
A boy becomes a man.
He's no longer the awkward high school boy.
Trudging down the halls, ignoring the life around him.
Now he's a military man.
He has his purpose.
Somewhere in America...
A baby is born, and an adult is dying.
A life begins, and a life ends.
A circle.
We don't choose...
We're chosen for...
