Any SU fans?
---Kai's POV
I held the helmet in my hand, and made my way to the storing room.
I found the oven's fire quenched again, so I threw a small fire inside, after making sure no one was around first, then went in the room and threw the helmet in its crate.
I got out of the workshop, seeking for some fresh air.
I took a deep breath, and slowly let it out.
My eyes kept wondering around, until I spotted the red-haired girl I was more than glad to see.
I headed towards her, only tending to observe her from far.She was sitting on the grass, her back facing me, hugging her knees, and her hair wasn't tied up like always.
She was in a two pieces short purple dress, revealing her midriff, and legs of courseI wanted to go to her, but I saw a man in brown clothes approching her, then sitting so close to her on the ground.
Who is this dude?
He put a white rose in her hair, and then..
Then he kissed her..
On the lips.
I felt my heart shattering into a million pieces.
I turned around and started walking to the shop in slow small steps.
I've seen enough.
I shouldn't be sad. We're just friends.
I should be happy for her. She probably found the right prince or something. But I'm not happy.
I'm just so.. jealous.Oh, come on. You didn't really expect her to love you, did you?
I..
I feel hurt.
Just forget about it.
I have work to do.
---
Later this night..
Another day is over.
Nya ran to the small hut we stay in.
I walked slowly, hugging myself, memories of what I saw this morning still in my mind.I can still see him kiss her the way I really wanted to.
And she looked happy when he was sitting next to her.But not like I can do anything about it.
If I wasn't crazy enough, I would have already burned him where he was sitting.I stood in my place for a few seconds.
I can see her, sitting in the same spot from this morning.
Despite all the mixed feelings, I started walking to her.
She didn't notice me until I was sitting next to her.
"Kai?"
"Missed me?" I teased.
"Not really." She put a finger on my cheek and whispered. "But I know you've missed me." She started chuckling, and I felt my cheeks heat as she did.My eyes starting going from her face down to her body.
She's wearing the same dress from this morning.
I never noticed how fit she looks in it."You like it, don't ya?"
I snapped back into reality with her words, and saw her smirking, only to realize I've been starring at her."Uhhhh.."
She chuckled.
"It's.. It's not like that.."
"Come on, we both know it is."She leaned her head on my shoulder, but this time I just didn't feel like having my arm around her.
I looked at her.
She looked gorgeous under the moonlight.
"Who was he?" I asked, breaking the silent.
"Who are you talking about?" She looked at me, confused.
"That dude.. who kissed you this morning." I said, avoiding eye contact.I could see her eyes open wide from the corner of my eyes.
"It's not what you're thinking!""Then what is it?"
"It's.. He's just the new prince of another kingdom."
"And you love him?" I felt my heart aching saying that.
"Never. I, ugh.. I don't have any feelings for this jerk. That's just.. some act my father wanted me in. We're just playing him."
"And that's why he kissed you?"
"Ew, just don't remind me of that.."A half-smile drew itself on my face.
It all became quiet, until I decided to ask.
"And.. how can I know you're not playing me?""Why would I play a blacksmith, hmm?" She purred, tracing her finger down my chest.
"Yeah, makes sense."
I looked at her, and she was starring back at me, our gazes locked together.
"I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too." Hearing these words come out of her mouth made that shattered heart of mine come back to life and pound in my chest.
I wrapped an arm around her, and put my other hand on the back of her head.
I leaned in closer and closed my eyes, just as she did the same."Awww, that's so sweet."
I quickly opened my eyes and let go of the princess at the chirpy voice coming from behind us.
We both turned around to see an extremely exited Jay sitting cross-legged on the grass behind us.
"Jay?! What the..."
He just grinned at me as always.
"Knock knock."
I exchanged a few looks with Skylor.
"Uhh.. who's there?"
"The cow goes."
"The cow goes who?"
"No, the cow goes moo." (Just so you know, I stole that joke)
I rolled my eyes, but Skylor started laughing.
"Are you serious?"
"Hey, I just finished a preformance, so right now I'm very filled with energy."
That's when I noticed he was in his jester costume.
"You're lucky I didn't start singing the.." He posed, then looked at us with wide excited eyes.
"Oh no you won't!" Skylor said.
That doesn't seem good.
"Sorry, Princess. You can't stop an exited clown."
He stood up to his feet and cleared his throat.
"Kai and Skylor sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S.."
My eyes opened wide as he started singing that.
"Jay Walker!"I found myself getting up and starting to chase him, as he ran away from me.
3rd person POV
The girl watched with her amber orbs the two boys running away, while laughing quietly under her breath.
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G." She sung to herself, her voice barely above a whisper.
