In the small dwelling where the young siblings stayed..

It was a dark rainy day, and that's when the Smith boy woke up on a familiar scream.

"Nya?"

He ran out of his bed and to the small room next to his.

"Nya!"

He saw his sister on the matress, hugging her knees.

He approached her and raised her chin to look at her.

She was crying.

"Nya, what happened?"

"Just.. just a nightmare."

"A horrible one." She mumbled.

He sat next to her. "Wanna talk about it?"

She wiped her tears in her sleeve and took a deep breath.

"It.. wasn't long. Just me, standing there. And, fire was everywhere, but it never hurt me. And.. I saw you, Kai. And the guards where there. And.. and they had torches in their hands. And.."

She burried her face in her knees again, sobbing.

"And what?"

She didn't reply.

Kai held her chin again. "And what?"

"They burned you, Kai! They tied you to that stake and burned you!"

She yelled, as tears streamed down her cheeks.

The boy starred at his sister's figure for a few moments.

"I.. Nya, you know that didn't happen in real life. Just a dream, n-nothing more."

"Easy to say for you. You didn't see how horrible that scene was. You never saw someone you loved so much burn alive infront of you!"

She turned her gaze away from his.

"I.. s-sorry. I shouldn't be yelling at you."

"I get it. Because I.. did." He closed his eyes shut and looked to the other direction.

"And the worst thing, it was in real life."

Nya looked at her brother to see a tear escaping from his eye, but he quickly wiped it away.

"Who was it? The king hasn't caught any elemental masters in years. At least not someone we know."

Kai kept eyeing his sister for what seemed to be ages of her starring back in his blue irises.

He finally took a deep breath, and spoke after letting it out.
"I think maybe it's time I tell you the truth."

He took another deep breath, as his sister observed him with curious eyes.

"Remember when we found that sword in the workshop?"

"Yeah, and you said it's our father's."

"Well, our parents were blacksmithes here."

"But you said.."

"I'll tell you everything from the beginning.

It was a dark rainy day like today..."

--- Flashback ---

Thunder roared, and lightning stroke in the skies.

A young five-year-old Kai got out of bed and downstairs, where both his parents were talking.
