I just tricked my best friend into thinking that my dog died and she actually got scared af oops.

Fun fact; the name Chris is
a name that I've used in every fan fiction I've ever
written since like 2014 (except for anarchy, her name is Sena)
bc I love the name so much. It's

CHRIS

I covered my nose as I walked through the abandoned building, Bex walking right behind me. The whole building smelled like straight up death. "Do you really think we are going to find him here?" She asked, doubting my plan. "No, but we can find answers to the letter I found at our doorstep," I replied, shining my flashlight in the doorway of an old room.

"We will split up," she suggests. "I'll go upstairs."

"Are you fucking crazy?" I remarked. She scoffed, shining her flashlight around. "We are killers. Nothing is going to happen," she said.

I sighed sharply, giving in to the idea. "Okay, you go upstairs I'll stay down here."

She smiled, turning around to head for the stairs. "Alright, where are you, you fucker," I said to myself. Our plans were simple. Get in, find the bitch that left the note and kill him.

I heard something fall to the ground behind me, and I shrieked loudly. "Bex?" I whispered. "Not funny."

The smell of blood filled my nose, and I nearly threw up. The swarm of flies told me something wasn't right about the area.

I approached the scene slowly, and that's when I stepped in a puddle of something, hearing the disgusting sound of a splash. I aimed the flashlight down, and the red filled at my feet almost seemed like it was screaming, and I couldn't form a scream.

I didn't see Bex, or anyone where I had heard the noise. This is a bad idea. I headed toward the stairs to find Bex, and that's when my heart completely stopped. I heard a blood curdling scream, and I stopped in my tracks and immediately started running toward the loud cries for help.

I got to the top, following the screams. "Bex!" I called out, hearing a groan in response coming from the room in front of me.

I busted the door open, revealing her lying there on the ground, in a pool of her own blood. "No, no, no, no," I repeated, sitting next to her and cradling her head in my lap. "You're okay, it's okay," I whispered, hoping she would hold on with the best of her abilities.

"C—Chris," she mumbled, holding onto my arms. She was weak, and she could barely hold her eyes open.

My phone began to ring, and I answered the call from the unknown number.

"Don't worry, killer. When she's dead, you can rot in prison where you belong,"

"You fucking bastard!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, chucking my phone at the wall. I looked back down at Bex, she was struggling to stay awake. "It's okay. Bex, please don't leave me. Please," I begged as I began to sob.

"You have to fight him," she whispered. "I—it's the only way."

Blood began pooling around both of us, and my heart sped up every time I would see her close her eyes. "No, you have to stay awake. You have to fight. Please, don't leave me," I pleaded, but she wasn't listening.
