"So." Soto started as he slowly walked in a circle around the herd. "You know, you all should be preparing for tomorrow, after all some of you, well, all of you, don't really stand a chance from the looks of it"

Shira's P.O.V

Who the heck is this?! Oh, I hope I hope it's not that saber that Diego told me about. Please please please don't let it be him. What was his name? Sota- Sot, um...Soto! Yeah that's it. Uh oh... from the way he's  looking at me makes me nervous. He keeps staring. That can't be good...

"Well who is this, Diego? Hello. I am Soto. The pack leader." He walked up close to me and looks down on me. I feel so small. Oh Diego please help me. I hate to admit it but I'm actually really scared. That's rarely happened before...

"Hey! Soto! Get away from my mate!" Diego yells at him and stands in a protective stance in front of me. I roll my eyes even though I secretly am afraid of him.

"What? Oh yeah. Whatever. She'll be mine after this is over." Soto smirks and moves forward.

Uh, excuse me? That's just stupid. This guy does creep me out, but I can be afraid. I don't want to be his, but I should never show fear. But, he is kinda scary..isn't he? I Should probably say something.

"Hey, I have an idea Diego. I'll cancel on the little 'battle at dawn' if you let me have her." He looks at me with an evil grin while making circles around us. I growl at him.

"No way! I'd never do that in a thousand years!" Diego shouts at the saber that's smirking at me.

"Well then I guess I'll see you at dawn Diego!" Soto then walked away not looking back. I could tell he had a smirk on his face without even looking.

Shira's P.O.V ends

Everyone stands there not saying anything. Until a certain sloth speaks up. "Hey, has anyone seen Granny's teeth? We can't find em'" Sid asked with a lisp.

Everyone shakes their heads no and Diego rolls his eyes. "So if I don't go with Soto then you guys are in danger?"Shira asks slightly confused and scared.

"Huh, yeah. Were you not listening?! Geez you need a hearing aid or something" Kylie asks annoyed/rude.

"Oh, shut up Kylie" Buck says as he scratches his chin and thinks about the current situation. This can't be good.... Buck thinks to himself. Kylie rolls her eyes at the one-eyed weasel.

"...." Shira looks down then at the herd and looks at Diego with a sympathetic face. She licks his cheek then sprints off into the forest in the direction that Soto went.

"SHIRA! NO!!" Diego shouts after his pregnant mate. He didn't want her to get hurt. He loved her so much. Diego runs after the female saber but can't find her. He starts to worry.

Diego's P.O.V

I run after Shira full of worry and regret. I have no idea why I feel regret, but I guess it's because I think it's my fault for all this. It's snowing and hard to see because of all the snow. Geez it's cold. My heart pounding and paws running I finally think I've caught up to her.

"Shira!" I yell into the cold forest. Where was she?! Wait. What was that? I hear rustling in a nearby bush I also hear a twig break. Uh oh...

Uh oh... I wonder what Diego saw! Hopefully nothing bad. The herd has enough crap to deal with right now anyway. Well I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! See ya next time! 😁😁
