Chapter Five Epic Battle

Luca's POV

I came to a stop just before I hit the water front, I looked around to see if I could see our mate but there was nothing! I could feel her so where was she?

I was getting ready to leave and move on to the next spot but then Leo spoke. "Luca, you need to reach out to her and see if you can feel her. I feel like she is close, I know that it is her that I can feel."

I stopped and really looked around me, but I did more than just looking around, I looked through my minds eyes to see if I could see her that way and I also tried to see if I could feel her anywhere by me or how close she was to me.

I looked out to the body of water, I could feel something but I couldn't find out what or who it was.

I tried to focus on it more but I was still coming up with nothing, it was like someone was keeping me from it. I growled in frustration and shook my head, I felt my main fly around my head as I did.

I used my Alpha in me to push at it and if it didn't work then I would use my Star God power as well, but I could feel it giving away as I pushed just a little bit more.

I was shocked at what I found once I was able to push all the way through. I could see the outline of my mate but she was in the water and she was not conscious.

She was just lying there at the bottom of the lake not moving but I could tell that she was still breathing, thank the heavens for that. I didn't understand what was going on, how was this even possible? Why was she even in the water?

I didn't have long to think on it, I could feel her waking up with help from somebody but I am not sure who it was.

I could tell that my mate was hurt badly and there was nothing that I could do to help. I even tried to push through so that I could jump in the water to get to her but something was keeping me from doing it. Something was blocking me from getting any closer to her, it must be a shield of some kind.

It was really starting to piss me off. I let out a roar, I could feel the ground shake and the water rippled with the force of my roar. I kept trying to get through the invisible field but it wasn't letting me. I even sent another roar out with my fire but it did nothing.

Just as I was getting ready to use all my power that I had in me, I watched as my mate broke through the water, she started coughing and I could tell that she was trying to stay above the water, but she was having a hard time with it.

She had a very hard time staying up but I still couldn't get to her. I could tell that Jewale and Marco were trying to get through to her too but they weren't having any more luck than I was having. Something was still keeping me from getting to her.

I stopped trying to get to her as I watched a ghostly figure float over the water and help pull my mate up into its arms and then it took her away from me to the other side of the lake.

I was happy that my mate was safe for the time being but I didn't know if it would last and for how long. I didn't even know who it was that had saved her or why but I was more than okay with it. I just wish they had brought her to me and not taken her all the way over there, it would take 10 to 15 minutes just to get around the lake, as we still couldn't get into the water and by then my mate could be gone or she could be hurt, more than what she was already.

I watched as my mate just laid there on the ground not moving other than her breathing but I knew that she was trying, I could feel her but something was keeping her from doing so.
