Chapter Fifteen Who Am I Really?

I was currently sitting out in our garden, I was thinking about everything that had happened in the last three weeks. It had been three weeks' since we had found out that I was expecting and that I was already a week pregnant.

So, I was a month pregnant with my cubs, I have already grown to love them so much. They are my world, I would do anything and everything to keep them safe. I was still having a hard time with losing one of our cubs and finding out that I was part Vampire and Snowcat. That had been some fun conversations...

Flashback-Two Weeks Ago

Luca was just starting to let me leave our cavern, he told me that he didn't want me over-doing it, but I was having a hard time staying in here, when he was able to leave whenever he wanted to do so, but I couldn't.

And to make it worse I was having a hard time eating anything and I always felt like I was the walking dead, even though I was sleeping at night. Luca, was always getting mad at me for not eating but I couldn't help it. I was never hungry, I just wanted to sleep all the time and snuggle with him but he wouldn't let me until I had something to eat.

Luca had just left to get us something to eat, but I still wasn't hungry. He told me that if I wanted to leave our cavern then I would have to eat and then I would be able to come and go whenever I wanted too.

"Rina, what are you thinking about so hard?" I looked up to see Luca, he was standing, just looking at me. I didn't even know he had come back in. I must have been really out of it.

"It's nothing Luca." I looked away from him and back toward our fireplace. I was still setting in front of it.

"Please tell me, little one." Luca sat behind me and pulled me back into him.

I laid my head back on his chest and relaxed. "I was just thinking about how you want me to eat when I am not hungry..." I made sure that I didn't say it very loud, hoping that he wouldn't hear me.

"Rina, you know that you have to eat, if not for yourself then for our cubs. I want you to try this, it is something new I had the cook make for you. Please just try it, for me?" I looked down at Luca's right hand, it looked like it was just a smoothie.

"What is that?" I was not going to take it, I didn't even know if it was what Luca said it was.

"It is a smoothie, Rina. Please just take it and try it." It's not that I didn't trust Luca, it just any thought of food was making me sick.

"What is in it?" I wasn't going to give in so soon.

"I will tell you after you try it." Dang it! I didn't think Luca was going to let it go.

"Fine." Before I could change my mind, I grabbed it and drank it as fast as I could. I didn't want to throw it up so I thought that if I drank it fast then I wouldn't, I just hoped that it worked for me.

I had been drinking it so fast that I almost didn't catch it, but I did, how could I not. It was almost like when I had marked Luca and I had drank his blood. That is what my so-called smoothie tasted like. I could taste salted carmel with chocolate and then there was the mango taste too.

I looked at Luca, "What was in that? Can I have more? I feel amazing now..."

"Don't get mad at me, little mate." He was looking at me like I was going to lose it but I didn't understand why... "It's one of your favorite smoothies but I also had the cook put my blood in it..." He looked away from me after he said the last part.
