Accident

"I can explain."That's what Kavita said to him after disclosing the truth.

"Oh really.You should have told me this 5 years ago after I woke from my coma.I guess its late now.But I'm still waiting to hear."he replied with sarcasm while controlling his anger.

"I was happily married to Varun.He knew all of my past yet he accepted me.We had a son Ajay.He was nearly 1 when Varun was involved in the train accident.I found out that he died when I reached the hospital.I was so lost that I didn't even tell the nurse that he was my husband.I just walked away when I saw you.Just then some rouges were looking for you.I told the nurse that you were my husband.I did what I thought was right.I took care of you.The whole 15 years Ajay looked as you as his papa.When you woke up and couldn't remember anything,I maintained the lie."Kavita told him everything.

Now it all made sense to him.

"I'm not angry that Ajay made me his father.I'm still his father no matter what happens.But if you had told me the truth,I would have done something in which I would have known my family and still be there for Ajay.Do you know that I wasn't there for my daughter.?"

"I need fresh air."he said before grabbing the car keys leaving the room forgetting his wallet

"Varun,please suno."

"You could at least call me by my real name now."he said before disappearing.

Radhika was surprised when she saw Mahas phone flashing with the caller id 'Varun uncle'.She didn't think twice before answering the call.

"Papa."wait when did I start calling him that Radhika thought as she answered the call.

"Maha?"he asked in an urgent voice.

"Nahi papa.Hum Radhika.Can I call you that?"

"Yes,it makes me feel better anyway."he answered smiling while driving the car.

"Ek minute papa."Radhika while calling Maha who was in the washroom.

Maha who came outside noticed that her sister was holding her phone.Radhika mouthed to her that it was papa.

"Papa where are you?"Maha said as she grabbed hold of the phone.As the phone was in speaker,both the girls voice could be heard in the other end.Both the girls could heat car honking.

"I'm going to the park.I need to think.I called to tell that I believe whatever you said.Thanks to both of you for being the reason I want to return even if I don't remember anything."as he said that Radhika gave Maha a 'I told you'look with a smirk.

"I was in coma for 15 years and my life was a lie for 5 years...."he couldn't finish whatever he wanted to say as the sentence was replaced with a car crashing noise.

"Papa!"both the girls screamed into the phone.

Radhika was holding her head trying to process whatever that had happened while Maha was still screaming into the phone.Just then Radhika quickly took hold of her sisters hand and dashed towards their parents room.

Laksh who just came out from the washroom was surprised at the commotion going on.

"Girls what's wrong?"both the parents asked at the same time.

"Papa got involved in an accident."Radhika said in a hurry.

"They're talking about Sanskar."Laksh cleared his wife's confusion before she even voiced it out.

The girls quickly told their parents about the conversation they had with Sanskar before they heard a car crash.

Laksh who heard everything mentally calculated the distance from Kavita's house to the park since he have been there once.He formed a quick plan in his brain.

"Ragini take Radhika with you.Bring the driver.Take the path from the park to his house.Radhika will know the way so no worries.If he was using an isolated way then nobody would have known about the accident."Laksh gave instructions to his wife and younger daughter as they made their way to leave the house.

"Maha,you follow me.We will vi to the City Hospital which is the nearest to the park.There's a high chance he's already there."

As the father and daughter left the house,they were really thankful that nobody in the house was there to stop them as they were busy preparing for Durga Pooja which will be held tomorrow.

As Laksh and Maha reached the hospital receptionist,they had no idea what were they gonna say.

"Is there a patient admitted from the accident that happened near the Green view park?Laksh asked.

"Yes,he was brought in some time ago.Are you both his family?"

"Yes."Maha replied quickly.

"What's his name please?"thinking that the receptionist was testing them,Laksh replied that it was Varun Oberoi.

"I'm Maha Varun Oberoi."the receptionist gave a questioning look to Laksh.

"Chachu,bolo na tumhara naam."Maha said hoping he would understand her hint.

Laksh who was really smart quickly understood that hint and said "I'm Laksh Oberoi,his brother."

That was enough for the receptionist as she showed them the way to the emergency ward.

Radhika was almost in the verge of cracking her head when Maha called her.

"Maha is papa there?"Radhika asked as she answered the call.

"He's here.He hit hard in his head but other than that he's fine.The doctor asked some questions and I managed with the information he gave when he was talking to us.The doctor said there's a low chance that he might remember the past."

"What's the high chance?"Radhika asked nervously.

"Him forgetting everything again including the incidents that happened recently.Suno Radhika go and gt Kavita aunty.I've been trying to calk her but she's not picking up the landline.She knows papa than any of us.Her presence might hhelp the doctor."Maha stated.

"I can't argue with that.Maa and I will get her and come to the hospital."Radhika replied before disconnecting the call.

She quickly told her maa the details her sister told her.She then gave directions to the driver to pick up Kavita.

Kavita who was looking out the window since Sanskar left came into her senses when she saw Ragini and Radhika at the gate talking to the watchman.She quickly made her way towards them.

"Maa,tum bolo."Radhika said was she saw Kavita.

"Kavita you need to come with us.Sanskar met with an accident.Your information about him might help the doctor."Ragini said patiently much to Radhikas surprise.

Kavita didn't even another to say another word as she got into the car with the mother and daughter.Her face gave away the built she is going through.

Laksh couldn't control himself when he saw his brother.A tear slipped out of his eye.

"Sanskar,your Lucky is here."Laksh said looking at the figure on the hospital bed.

Just then Maha entered with a list in her hands.
"Paa,the doctor gave a list for medicines."

"You wait here,I'll go and get the medicines."Laksh said leaving the room.

Just as Laksh lest the room,she heard Sanskar murmur something.
"Papa?"Maha said nearing him.
"Swara."came back his voice.
"Papa,tell once more so I can confirm please.."
"Swara."he said again and that was enough for Maha as she dashed out the room to find her father talking to her maa and her sister who was standing with Kavita aunty.

"Kavita aunty,did you tell papa the name Swara?"
Kavita shook her head no as Maha started smiling.She then turned around to her family and said  I never used the name either.I only referred to her as mumma when telling him the truth."

"So he remembers everything."Radhika concluded with a smile playing on her lips.
