Chapter 8~ The Truth

We were walking back to class after Naruto suddenly started running to the toilet for the remainder of Lunch, though his stomach had calmed down now.

We sat down next to each other and he just talked while I listened. It was nice.

All the other teams had their senseis now and we were the only ones still in the classroom- even Iruka~sensei had left!

"He's late!" Naruto said impatiently while sticking his head out the door into the hallway.

"Naruto! Just sit down!" Sakura scolded

"I don't want to. How come our teacher's the only one that's late? I'm ready to roll, believe it!" That was always his little catchphrase at the end of random sentences. I found it sweet.

"The other groups already met their teachers and took off on some adventure or something, and Iruka~Sensei's gone too!"

"I know okay..." she sighed. I looked up because I heard the rattling of a chair or something.

"Hey! What are you doing!?" She exclaimed

"Naruto..." I trailed off

Naruto was grinning like mad and standing on a stool, while he placed a blackboard eraser at the top of the door frame.

"Naruto!"

"That's what he gets for being late! SURPRISE!" He explained, though if our sense I was a jonin, he should just dodge it, right?

"You're asking for trouble; You know you shouldn't do that..." Sakura lectured

"Sakura, just admit you love this sort of stuff..." I muttered, though she didn't hear me

"Hn, Our teacher's a jonin, an elite ninja, you think he'd honestly fall for that?" Sasuke said all emo-like

"Yeah Sasuke's right! You're so clueless Naruto!"

Then a hand made to open the door and Naruto giggled like a schoolgirl as we looked up. Then....

*poof*

The eraser fell onto a jonin's silver,
gravity-defying hair

Cue the awkward silence....

Naruto then burst out laughing

"I GOT HIM HE TOTALLY FELL FOR IT!! HEHEHEHE!!"

"I'm so sorry Sensei! I told him not to do it, but he didn't listen! I'd never do anything like that!" Sakura sucked up to the guy

Sasuke diverted his eyes and blinked several times as if contemplating which one of us was dumbest.

"Hmm... how can I put this? My first impression of you this group... you're a bunch of idiots..." he said and the whole team, including me, deadpanned.

We all met him on the roof.

"Alright, why don't you introduce yourselves? One at a time."

"Introduce ourselves? Well, what are we supposed to say?" Sakura chirped

"Things you like, things you hate, dreams for the future... hobbies. Things like that." He said, crossing his arms

"Why don't you tell us stuff first? I mean, before we talk tell us about you, so we can see how it's supposed to work." Naruto chimed in. I was sitting between him and Sasuke.

"Me? I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate... I don't feel like telling you that. My dreams for the future... never really thought about it. As for my hobbies... I have lots of hobbies." He said vaguely.
