it was the first day of summer school for you and malia, you'd purposely failed one of your tests so that you had to retake it, you didn't want her to be alone as your friends were all preparing to go to university.

"you think i don't know that you failed on purpose?" malia asked as you stood in the parking lot of the school.
"malia, i did it so you wouldn't be alone." you said simply.
"but you didn't have to." she said, looking at you intently.
"i wanted to." you smiled at her.
she smiled, raising her eyebrows slightly, "thank you, y/n. i'm glad that it's you that i'll be spending every day here with."
"we'll have so much fun learning algebra." you said sarcastically as you linked your arm through hers.
she groaned, "i hate maths."
"don't worry, we can have plenty of study sessions." you suggested, smirking.
"of course." she nodded, her eyes lit up at the thought.
"lets get to class before we end up in detention." you giggled, dragging her with you to class.
