Chapter 12;

Ally's POV;

Austin and I were sitting in the music room, getting to know the other children. Then all of a sudden, the doorbell rang.

"Yay! Someone's here!" Kaylee said. Kaylee was always the most energetic, but it made everyone smile.

Kaylee left the room then came back about 5 seconds later.

"I don't know who it is..." she said, a little worried.

I opened the door a little and looked out.

"Austin..." I said.

"What?"

"Look."

Austin took my place and looked through the crack.

"Crap. Alls, we gotta go. And she brought someone...Charlie!" Austin said.

"Charlie...?" The rest of the foster children asked.

"He's uh...our foster brother." I said.

Austin and I couldn't take it anymore. We ran out the door and sprinted upstairs. We ran into our room and hid. This can't be happening. We don't wanna go back!

We looked down from a ledge upstairs. Charlie was looking up the stairs. Did he see us? I hope not. More important question; did Myrtle see us?

Austin and I went to our rooms, feeling sick. We laid on our beds until we heard footsteps coming up the stairs.

The door burst open. Kaylee came running in, yelling; "AUSTIN! ALLY! I WANT YOU TO MEET CHARLIE!"

I ran over to Kaylee and I told her to quiet down. Then I explained the whole Charlie/Myrtle thing to her.

"Oh...I'm sorry, Allyson..." Kaylee said.

"It's fine...and my name is Ally. Just Ally." I told her.

I turned my head. Charlie was standing right in between mine and Austin's bed.

I ran up to him and gave him a big hug.

"Well, hello to you too, Ally Dawson." Charlie said with a smile.

Then the questions came. Charlie asked us questions about how we got here, the other children's names, what it's like here, etc.

Once Austin and I answered them, we asked him questions about Myrtle, what's it like living in the house now, etc.

He was almost done answering our set of questions when we heard Myrtle yell, "Charlie! We're going now!"

Charlie looked at us.

"Well guys, it's about time I get going." He said.

Then we heard footsteps.

Jade and Myrtle came in.

Before Austin and I blacked out, the last thing I saw was Myrtle's jaw dropping and Jade looking down, obviously feeling sorry.
