Chapter 3;

Austin's POV;

"...you're getting...what?!?..." Austin and Ally couldn't believe it.

Myrtle was getting married. Married.

Married to a man we have never met.

Ally & I were the first to get the news since we were the eldest in the foster home.

"But we haven't even met your fiancé! How long have you guys be-" Ally said, but she was cut off by Myrtle.

"Shut it, Sally. His name is Damon...and we've been dating for maybe 2 years?" Myrtle said.

"It's Ally...and how come we've never seen him?" Ally said.

"Don't correct me, you little shit. And I don't bring him home because, all you worthless little creatures are annoying." Myrtle said.

"Then why do you run a foster home for children if you think we're annoying...?" I muttered under my breath.

"WHAT?!?" Shit. Myrtle caught me...

She stomped right over to me and smacked me right in the face. She did something else but I didn't feel it, I was on the ground, in a trance.

Ally reacted fast. She helped me get up from the floor and she started yelling at Myrtle.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!?" Ally yelled.

Last thing I saw, Myrtle raised her hand...and struck Ally. That's when I blacked out. I tried to do something about it but I just couldn't get off the floor.

I'm useless.

The blackout ended. I couldn't see much. Everything was such a blur. I knew I was against the wall clutching my face, but I had no idea what was going on. I was still in a trance.

I saw Charlie, my 12 year old foster brother run past me.

"Charlie..." I whispered.

I blacked out again.

My second blackout ended when I saw Ally on the ground, weak and helpless.

"A-A-Ally..." I stuttered as I crawled to her.

I also saw Charlie on the ground, softly crying.

"Char..." I whispered.

He looked at me. Then looked down.

"Y-yes, A-Austin?" He said shakily.

"What...what happened?" I said

"M-Myrtle...sh-she...,"

"She did...what...what did she do to you, Char?"

"Sh-she...almost killed me."

Austin couldn't believe it. Myrtle has gone too far.

"S-she tried to...g-get Ally too." Charlie said.

I looked at Ally. She was lying on the ground, cuts and bruises all over her face.

"Alls...Ally." I whispered as I tried to get her up.

"Aus..." She whispered.

"Ally. I'm here." I said.

I got her up. She whispered my name and fell into my arms.

"Charlie; get some ice from the fridge, please." I said.

He nodded. I carried Ally to our room and laid her down on her bed. She had a cut under her eye, a cut on her cheek, and bruises in maybe 3 or 4 spots on her face. I hope she didn't get hurt anywhere else.

"Au...Austin..." She whispered.

"Yes?" I replied.

"You-your...face...wha...t happ...happened?" She asked.

I touched my face, it stung. I removed my hand from my face. There was blood on my hand.

"...what the..." I whispered.

I ran to the mirror. There was a streak across my face.

The science was interrupted when Charlie knocked on the door.

"I've got the ice." He said.

I nodded and signaled him to come over to Ally. I took the ice from his hand and placed it on one of Ally's bruises. Not one peep complaining it was 'too cold' or 'it hurts' came out of her. But a simple 'thank you' managed to come out of her.

"We need to run away from here," I said.

"We're leaving tonight."

Charlie and Ally both looked at me then started nodding their heads in approval.

But the question is; how are we gonna escape?
