I woke up in a sweaty mess, the ill-lit room engulfed me immensely. I looked around of what I could make out in the room. I staggered my way to the window that dimly glowed from the full moon blasting it's light upon our earth. A thought travelled it's way into my mind that saddened me. Simon. He would look up and see the same moon as I. Breathe the same atmosphere as I, see the same stars as I. I felt the cold drift make its way up my spine causing me to shiver and miss the warmth of the bed. I watched as the trees swayed with the wind, the sound slowly whipping throughout the icy air. It took all my strength to not go out and live freely amongst the others... Where I belong.

I heard the low soft thumping of feet hitting the old wooden slabs followed by a creak of the door. The bright light flicked on, causing me to scowl as I moved my hands to block the light shining into my eyes. My eyes adjusted and relaxed still not completely sure on what was happening with me. I saw her beautiful body figure in her night gown she wore, the light blue cloth draping lightly on her body. Her hair was curly and a gorgeous mess. Her tired blue eyes looked up at me, only to yawn.
"I'm sure you're expecting answers" she said in a slow tired voice
"Yes but it can wait till morning" I replied not wanting her to explain merrily because I don't think I was ready.
"Fair enough... There's a shower down the hall to the left, I left you a black gown for you to wear" she pointed as she tiredly made her way towards me to give me a hug. Her arms loosing gripped onto me as she drooled onto me. I lightly laughed as I helped her to her room. I quickly sprinted for the bathroom before the cold got to me. Lightly closing the door behind me and struggling to find the light switch, I was finally able to relax and get cleaned up in a shower, first time in years.

Feeling the warm water splatter on my face, steaming the shower walls, fogging the glass, watching the steam water drip down the sides gracefully, this was truly a feeling I missed. I was so used to life outside with no electricity, warm water, working kitchen, normal food and a room I can feel safe in. I was curious as to what I looked like as I hadn't fully seen myself in a proper mirror in years, I would go by the streams in the broad daylight to see my features rippled into the water. As I turned off the water, the heat leaving me immediately, I carefully stepped out of the shower and watch the little water drips run down my unshaven legs. I looked up to meet my eyes with a razor. Placing the metal object in my hand i began to scrape away the hairs that covered my body.

slid the gown over my small body, it was a perfect fit and I felt pretty. I turned to look at the mirror for the first time. Seeing myself left me in shock. I was nothing like how I imagined myself. I had rosey cheeks, freckled decked my whole face, icy blue eyes, long dark brown hair, straight but yellow-ish teeth. I was so pale I could camouflage into the snow. My body was medium sized, just the way I liked it. I was nothing like the girls, they were undeniably gorgeous and I stuck out like a sore thumb. . But before leaving I remembered my little secrete not many knew about. I held my breathe, feeling the little prickles all over my skin. I watched as I slowly disappeared into the background. I was no where to be seen. I gasped as I couldn't believe I could do this. This was the first time seeing myself turn invisible.  I admired myself before missing my bed and returning to the warmth of it that was now  left cold as it was untouched.
