I was immediately grateful I'd put on my jacket. It was snowing and was blistering cold. My face stung as my ears flattened against my head from the wind. My tail whipped irritably. Ana ushered us to a more sheltered area before talking the plan over with us.
"We are to split up. We all have our watches on yes? Good. They have tracking devices for each of us. If someone finds something, they must press this button and it will tell us where you are and get us there to you in time. Make sure to whisper over your earpieces. Everyone ready? Let's go."
Genji and I walked forward together, looking around. As we walked around I realised half of the Industries was a library, and a few buildings for Madam Volskaya. The other buildings were purely for whatever they did in the Industries. We were at an L-shaped cross-roads. Genji and I glanced at each other, sharing unspoken communication. I nodded before continuing forward as Genji moved to the right. The wind had started to die down and the snow had stopped long ago. As I rounded a corner I saw a large courtyard-like thing in the middle with buildings around it. There were bridges and stairs leading to it. Suddenly my watch beeped urgently. Genji had found something! I rushed to where he was, slowing down as I neared. I met Ana on the way with Hanzo coming in from above. Tracer crouched before moving forward.
"What do you see Hanzo? Where is your brother?" Ana whispered.
"Behind the big doors." He muttered back.
I peeked around the wall we were up against and saw Genji, tensed up. He saw me and beckoned me over.
"We can go..." I murmured as I inched slowly under the bridge to the entrance of the building that connected it.
I held my breath as security personnel walked by. I saw them go to a building and emerge on to the bridge. They were going to cross the bridge, come down the stairs and catch us.
"Hanzo there are security personnel... I'll need your help taking out the second one. They'll have to go single file. Take out the one in the back. Stun only." I muttered as I ran up the stairs, silent as a shadow.
I saw Hanzo get to the opposite side, readying his arrow as he slid down the snow-covered roof. He got in to position as he drew his bow. I could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer...
"Just wait Genji... we're in a bit of trouble..." Tracer whispered.
"I'll go to him." Ana didn't wait for an answer as she ran across to Genji.
Genji nodded to her before climbing up and disappearing through a window as Ana made her own way to wherever they were going. The first guard was right at the doorway. I heard Hanzo's arrow fly as I choked him to unconsciousness. He struggled for a bit before giving in. I gagged them and tied them up before dragging them to a corner.
I froze as I overheard muttered voices coming from the earpiece. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying so I beckoned to Tracer before running to the building Genji and Hanzo were at. I walked upstairs slowly, warily. I peeked the corner and saw Genji hiding behind a box as a group of politicians talked behind him. I quickly ran down the stairs crawling up to one of the windows so I could hear what was going on without getting caught. Tracer zipped to Genji, and considering no one's voice raised in alarm, they hadn't noticed her. I raised my head slightly so I could see what was going on. There were politicians in the middle of the room with Genji and Tracer hiding behind a box and Ana behind the doorway from whence the politicians came. I lowered my head before directing my ear to their conversation.
"The Presidents of America, Europe, Asia and Oceania have changed. Suddenly they know for sure that Overwatch is running..." One of them speculated.
"Yeah I know! Like one day they just found out or something?"
"Anyways, are you going to the meeting on Friday?"
"Can't miss it. I'm one of the secretaries." This voice was proud, and smug.
"Yes, yes you said that before." The voice sounded exasperated, as if the other had said it many times.
They walked through the door down the steps as my eyes widened. It seemed that those Presidents had become corrupt. Something suspicious was going on... I climbed through the window while they emerged from the entrance, continuing on back to the building. Genji, Ana and Tracer were sitting in stunned silence as the news sank in. Hanzo crawled up through the window I came from and looked around, having not heard the conversation.
"What happened?" He asked.
