I blinked my eyes open, looking around me. My stomach, my arms, my legs and my shoulders ached. Mercy looked up as I murmured.
"Do not move Night, multiple of your vital organs have been punctured and they are still recovering." She rushed over.
"How.... how long has it been?" I asked.
"It has been three days. Your arms are healing nicely as well as your shoulders. Your legs are healing nicely as well and you should be able to stand on them soon." Mercy wrote on her clipboard before disappearing through a door.
I twitched my arms, testing them. They ached dully as well as my legs. My stomach gave a sharp stab of pain whenever I shifted so I stayed still. Moments later Soldier 76 came in with D.Va and Mei. Lucio and Efi followed and I glimpsed Orisa standing outside, the door being too small for her to fit through.
"How are you doing?" Mei laid a hand on my shoulder, gently.
"Achy." I winced.
"We're going to need you back in the field as soon as possible, we need to convince the governm-"
"No." I interrupted Soldier 76.
"What?" He looked at me, surprised.
"I can't go back in the field. I hurt anyone around me. I think it's best if I leave Overwatch." I continued.
"I know what you experienced was painful and that we could have died if you'd tried to fight back but-"
"It wasn't just painful, it opened my eyes to the fact that being around me hurts people. I'm leaving and you can't convince me otherwise."

I stood looking out the window with my hand curving protectively over my belly, the wounds had nearly healed but the stitches were delicate and I didn't want to break them. My ear twitched as I heard Genji come up to me.
"So you're really leaving?"
"Yes... Genji I.... I don't think we're really lovers anymore. I feel like we're more like friends than anything else." I turned my head to him.
He nodded, silent. After a moment- "Me too... but I don't understand why you are leaving. Is it because of Angela?"
"Oh she's Angela now is she?" I gave him a teasing smile. "No... Mercy is not the reason. That moment when you and the others were held with a gun to your head made me realise... I hurt everyone who stays around me... First Isla and it could have been you. I wouldn't be able to stand that. I'm going. I'll help out in the shadows, but I won't work for Overwatch. I'll stick to myself."
"Good luck." Genji laid a hand on my shoulder before turning around and walking off.
"How are you?" D.Va was right beside me.
"Alright, I'll be leaving soon when my stomach is healed." I replied.
I turned my head soon enough to catch her smile and wave at Lucio. "Are you guys together?"
"Um... yeah... kinda... He's cute I guess." She blushed.
I laughed. "I can see the potential relationship."
"Don't go..."
"I have to. I hurt everyone around me. It's time I left." I replied, the mood turning sombre again.
D.Va sighed. "I'll miss you." She hugged me, this short girl hugged me.
I rested my head on hers, me being tall enough in my boots to feel like I was mothering her. I was going to miss her, and Mei. But I needed to go before they were all lying dead at my feet.

I quietly packed my bag, zipping it up and creeping out so I didn't wake anyone. I was about to leave via a teleporter Symmetra had set up before she'd gone to bed when Mei interrupted me.
"You're really going?" She asked.
"Yes... I'll miss you..." I hugged her.
"I'll miss you too... don't forget to visit!" Mei hugged me back.
"Overwatch will always be there to help you." Soldier 76 rounded the corner. "We'll keep an eye on you."
I laughed. "I'll miss you too Jack Morrison."
"What did you just call me?"
"Your real name? No one has used it in a long while so I guess I'll use it to remind you." I shrugged before waving goodbye.
"Farewell!" I called as I stepped through. "Tell D.Va and Lucio that I'll miss them! Give Genji my love!"
I turned around, seeing the sunset of Gibralter as the teleporter closed. I'd asked Symmetra to set it up in Gibralter because I had to say goodbye to one last person.
I stood by her. "Thank you for always being there for me even when I turned to Talon. You came to Overwatch and was there for me when I was alone. I'm sorry I pushed you away, I shouldn't have... we've worked together and trained together. I've missed you terribly and I hope you have a peaceful rest." I laid blue morning glory on Isla's grave, the mound that I'd visited often. "Goodbye." I whispered, tears blurring my eyes.
I hurriedly wiped them away and turned to face all the possibilities stretching before me.
The End.
