I Fell In Love With A Cullen

THIRTY-THREE

"Okay thanks. I'll be over in a flash." I said hanging up the phone. I opened up the closet doors, looking for a nicer outfit. I haven't seen my Embery in a while so I thought I would go for my new punk look. I grabbed a studded leather jacket, some shredded black jeans, and a black t-shirt. I threw on the outfit quickly and added a white beanie to compliment the black. I slipped on some black platform boots with studs and chains on them before scurrying to the bathroom, quickly drawing a thick wing of eyeliner on each line, sticking in some fake lashes, and red lipstick. I brushed through my hair and put the beanie back on and grabbed my phone.

I walked downstairs where Edward, Bella, Carlisle, and Esme all sat around. "You look nice, honey. Where are you going?" Esme asked. "To go visit Embery," I simply explained. "Okay, have fun!" She smiled at me as I walked right out. I passed Emmett on my way downstairs, he was playing Xbox in the den. "Where you going, chica?" He questioned not looking up from his game. "Seeing Embery," I called out walking past the den.

I arrived at the door of Sam's house just two minutes after leaving the front door of our house. "Honey, I'm home!" I called out stepping into the all so familiar house. "Britt?" A voice questioned. "Present," I sassed. "Brittly!" The voice exclaimed followed by heavy footsteps. Embery came barreling at me with the biggest smile stretched over his lips. I opened my arms for him as he picked me up by my sides spinning me around in the air. "I missed you so much, best friend!" He all but exclaimed. "I missed you too, Em." I stated chuckling.

Embery set me back down on my two feet before I was engulfed into a hug just seconds later. I wrapped my arms around his neck, burying my face into his shoulder. "I like the new look," He whispered in my ear. "Thanks," I whispered back. "It makes you look hot," He whispered. I let out a loud laugh nuzzling my face back into his neck.

He pulled back from the hug letting Sam and Emily have a turn hugging me. After saying hello to everyone Embery came up to me. "Wanna go for a walk?" He asked. "Sure." I smiled up at him. We said goodbye to Quill, Sam, Emily, and Jared walking outside. We walked in silence for a few minutes, when we got deeper into the forest is when I turned to Embery. "So, how has Jacob been?" I asked quietly. "Um... He's okay. He's been better ya know. What about you? How are you doing?" He questioned.

"Eh. Jasper's ex girlfriend-vampire-friend is back in town so that's kinda put things on edge for us and then Bella's baby-vampire-thing. It's crazy, I just want it all to stop. I really didn't have anyone to talk to back at the house so I'm glad I have you." I ranted. "Hey," Embery said softly. I looked up at him to see he had stopped walking. "It's going to be okay." He told me putting his hands gently on my shoulders. "I'm right here if you ever need anything." He said. "Thanks, Em." I smiled softly.

"Can we please go climb that tree?" I whined. "Sure," Embery chuckled at my randomness. "Yay!" I exclaimed running towards the tree. I grabbed onto the first branch, lifting myself up. Embery quickly followed behind me as I kept climbing higher and higher. We sat up in the tree for a few minutes before we decided it was best to head on home since Embery wanted lunch. Again.

On our way my phone dinged with a text alert from Jasper. I pulled up the text reading it.

Hey baby. Can you send me that cute pic of us kissing? xx

Yeah sure! Which one? XP

The next text made my heart drop to my stomach and tears prick in my eyes.
