I was sitting in the hanging chair over in the corner reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

(Btw guys if you haven't read this trilogy you should it's really good) when I heard the doorbell ring. I continued reading, ignoring the bell. Only was it a few seconds later before a squeaky fake voice rang through the house. "JASPER!" "Hey Ashley," I could hear the happiness in his voice.

A tingling feeling ran through my body. I felt a vibration in my chest before I felt multiple emotions rush into my veins. My powers were back. A radiating sense of pure joy hit me like a brick wall almost making me trip over my own feet. Jasper.

I set my book down, placing the bookmark in before I made my way out of our bedroom and downstairs. Bella was sitting on the couch watching a movie with Edward while the rest of my family besides Jasper and Carlisle sat around. "Who's at the door?" I asked. "Jasper's ex Ashley." Emmett said with a bored tone. A wave of dislike hit me coming from most of my family sitting around me.

I shook my head and sat down on the love seat next to Emmett. He leaned down next to my and whispered, "It's okay, no one else likes her either," He said into my hair. "Does she know about... us?" I paused questioning my voice soft so they didn't hear us downstairs. "Yeah, she's a vamp too," He informed me. I just nodded and leaned my head back on the back of the sofa.

Not even a minute later, to my disliking, Jasper came walking upstairs with his arm slung around Ashley's shoulder. "hey Ashley" "hi" "hello" flooded the room as Ashley greeted each and everyone one of my new family members with a hug. "Who's this Jazzy poo?" Ashley screeched with fake enthusiasm trying to hide the disgust in her voice but obviously failing.

"Hi I'm Britt, nice to meet you Ashley." I introduced myself, standing up from the couch and holding out my hand politely for her to shake. "Hello," She smiled at me with a snarl and took my hand giving me a weak and limp hand shake. "Come on Ashley, I'll show you to your room." Alice said politely with a happy smile.

"I'm just gonna head upstairs and finish my book now," I smiled before turning around and walking up the stairs. I made my way up to the third floor of the house and into our bedroom. I picked my book back up from it's spot and sat down in my chair leaving from where I left off.

Six hours later and the next book in the series, Jasper was still talking to Ashley about all their past memories. They've been going at it for the past 2 hours and quite frankly I am a little jealous. Don't get me wrong I am very happy to hear him laughing, but I'm just afraid he will leave me for Ashley because I'm not good enough. Honestly, I'm scared. And just to top it all off, Ashley's room is right across the hall from us.

I had reached the end of my chapter when the two had finished talking. The door to our room quietly opened and Jasper slid in. "Hey, baby girl." He said quietly. I slipped the bookmark in my book and sat it down walking over to Jasper. "Hi," I smiled up at him as he wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me in for a hug.

"I know I haven't gotten to talk to you much tonight but I just wanted to let you know how much I love you." He whispered resting his chin against the top of my head squeezing me tighter. "I love you too," I looked up and kissed him softly. "I'm going to go take a nice warm bath," I told Jasper sliding out of his arms. "Okay love. And when you're finished we can just lay in bed all day watching movies. How does that sound?" He asked with a smile tugging on his lips. "Perfect," I smiled back up at him. "Good. Take your time baby doll. I'll just be in here," He said as I was walking into the bathroom.

God I love him.
