I swallowed back the lump in my throat as I watched Emmett and Embery walk back out the front door and back into the forest. I turned around and continued my journey back into the living room. "I'm back," I said plastering a fake smile onto my face. "Where's Jasper?" I asked looking around seeing Bella, Edward, Rosalie, Alice, Esme, and Carlisle all sitting around the room.
"Oh, he's outside with Ashley. They went on a walk through the forest. I'm surprised you two didn't run into them." Alice informed me. I hummed before shaking my head no in response. I sat down on the arm of the chair that Carlisle was perched on, tying my hardest not to think about Jasper and Embery.
It's quite hard not to think about something because in order to not think about doing something you have to think about not doing it which just makes it harder not to think about it. It's even harder when there is a mind reader sitting right across the room from you.
"No," Edward whispered softly across the room. "What?" Rosalie asked confused. "Britt, tell me you're lying." Edward said standing up from the couch. "I wish," I sighed softly being careful not to wake up my sleeping sister who was right beside me. "What's going on?" Carlisle asked worried but confused. "Jasper cheated on Britt and then Embery imprinted on her." Edward spilled out. "What?" Rosalie asked standing up quickly clearly mad. "He imprinted on me!" I quietly exclaimed standing up.
No. This can not be happening. Not now. Not today. "I'm sorry, but I need to be alone right now." I said quietly before vamp speeding up the stairs and to my room.
I ran upstairs and into the bedroom, closing the door behind me. I walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. I started the water in the bathtub, as I walked over to the closet grabbing a towel for me. I turned on Medicine by The 1975 on repeat since this song perfectly describes the situation before I lit three lilac smelling candles before stopping the water and stripping myself of my clothing. I tied my hair up in a bun before stepping into the warm water.
I just sat in the warm water for hours, having Matthew Healy's voice fill my ears watching the rain roll down the window.
