I Fell In Love With A Cullen

THIRTY-SIX

      I had drained the water from the bathtub, wrapping the fluffy white towel around my body.  left my music playing in the background while I walked into the closet, looking for an outfit. I decided on a grey tank top, a black sports bra, black leggings, and a dark red and blue flannel. I slipped on the outfit untying my hair.  I walked back into the bathroom and blew out the candles so I wouldn't catch the house on fire.

    A sudden knock on the door grabbed my attention immediately. "Yes?" I called out. "Britt, can you open the door please, honey?" Jasper asked from the other side of the closed and locked door. My whole body went rigid at the sound of his voice. "Don't call me that," I chocked out. "Britt, please. I think we need to talk," He lowered his voice. "I think you're right." I retorted.

    I walked over to the door, unlocking it and swinging it open to reveal Jasper's face. I stepped around him and out of the bathroom, over to the couch. I sat down and tucked my legs in front of me like a pretzel. He followed behind me and sat directly opposite of me on the couch, his legs hanging over the side of the couch.

"I heard he imprinted on you," He sated breaking the awkward silence.

"And I heard you cheated on me." I spat back at him.

"I know and I feel terrible." He sighed.

"Good, because it would be pretty crappy if you didn't." My voice was laced with venom.

"Baby," He cooed with guilt.

"NO! Don't baby me! I just told you not to call me that right before you were caught sucking your ex's face right off!" I stood up screaming at him.

"Britt, please calm down." He said firmly, standing up to face me.

"Why should I?" I yelled.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!" He shouted at me. "Because I love you," He whispered. "And if you love me then would you give me a chance to explain the truth to you," He said.

"Sit down," I sighed defeated.

"I know that I kissed her and I know I messed up, but I didn't try to mess up. See Britt, every vampire has a special power, and you know that. Ashley has a very special power, a dangerous power if not used the right way. She can control things, weather, animals, people... me," He sighed.

   "She led me on, she made me kiss her. And then she had the guy take a picture of us. She must have took my phone and texted you. Britt I'm so sorry please forgive me." He begged.

"I forgive you," I sighed.

"Really!" He stood up happy, obviously not expecting this kind of answer from me.

"Yes," I replied standing up.

   Jasper cupped my face in his hands, pulling me in for a  kiss.

"Jasper stop," I said pulling back.

"What's wrong?" He frowned.

           

             "I can't. What about Embery?"
