I hadn't meant to hurt him; I was just upset, it was creepy that he was trying so hard to make me happy. I'm supposed to be his pet I don't want to feel comfort. I know as soon as I get comfortable that's when they strike. Well I'm not going to give him that opportunity. Besides he wasn't any better than Anarchy he hurt me.

I looked up as my room door opened I went to stand my eyes getting blurry it was Hazel. In a second she was at my side taking me to the bed I sat down and she pulled out a pen flashlight. She shined it in my eyes without a word she set down two pills on the table next to me. "Take these, you need to rest for a bit but do not sleep. When the aching in your head subsides you can come downstairs." She left the room gently closing the door behind her I swallowed the pills putting my feet up I stared out the window that was on the right side of the wall. It seemed like hours passed before my head was feeling better. I got up heading down the corridor to the balcony that over looked the foyer I heard laughing and what seemed to be the sound glasses made when being brought together in cheers. I made my way down the stairs and through the kitchen to enter the dining room. The room went from laughing to silence as I entered. There was a couple sitting at the table with Elijah. The man had similar features to Elijah except his hair was lighter in contrast to Elijah's jet black. The mystery mans eyes were also more silver then gold. The girl that sat next to him was a brunette she had medium hair and red eyes and a beautiful sleek red dress on.

"Brother, you never mentioned anything about a stunning goddess living in your house."

Elijah simply smiled but it didn't reach his eyes so it was far from genuine.

"Pay no mind brother, she's just a pet." The words stung to hear even his brother seemed to cringe.

"Well I'm Alaric, the nicer of the Preston boys. This is our childhood friend Destiny." He extended his hand and I shook it his face lighting up even more. It made me blush as I tried to bite back a smile. I quickly shook my head no Adeline, he's just another bloodsucker.

"The younger brother as well. Please Adeline take a seat by me my dear?" Oh he bothered to find out my name. That or he had listened in on my thoughts. In which case Elijah if you're listening stop. I starred at Destiny, long time friend huh? Probably meant she's fucked both of them. Elijah had been taking a drink when he chocked on it. I looked over at him Alaric raised his eyebrow. He didn't say anything just looked down did he think it was funny?

Destiny kept starring at Elijah it was getting really annoying. She smiled at him twirling a finger in her hair.

"So Elijah, have you found anyone?" I scoffed at this really could this bitch be anymore blatant? I mean not like I care, Elijah was just my "master" plus I didn't have feelings for him.

"Not yet Destiny, and I'm not looking."

Damn right he wasn't looking. She can back the fuck off now. I picked the wine up in front of me I chocked it down. Then I looked up Alaric eyeing me. A chef came in standing at the foot of the table as dishes were handed out one by one. Once they were all set down all the lids were removed at once.

"Refill all our glasses, then we should be fine, thank you Tyler." With a nod of his head he left and our glasses were filled to the brim. I noticed Elijah had brandy in his glass. I looked down at my meal everyone was having some kind of pasta mine was just buttered noodles.

"Elijah, you should take it easy on the drinks." Elijah rolled his eyes finishing off his glass he left not touching his food. I devoured my buttered noodles they were very divine. Then I finished off my glass of wine. Destiny had hardly touched her drink. What a waste of good wine. She got up leaving the room as well. Probably going to try and get some cock. Alaric let a small laugh; great mind reading must run in the family.

"Tell me Adeline, how has my brother been treating you?" I barely heard him my wine was kicking in and I felt all my pent up anger disperse.

"Very, well." I got up going through the door Elijah had. He was sitting in the living room drinking more.

"Have I turned you into an alcoholic?" I didn't think I had no room to think not with how I was feeling. Elijah looked at me his eyes holding something I couldn't understand. Alaric had entered the room music was playing. I giggled as he took my hand bringing my body closer to his. We began to slow dance I let the music take me away. I opened my eyes again Elijah was in place of Alaric. Dear god I'm gone. I laughed again collapsing on the couch stretching my body out I let out a small gasp. Someone picked me up and I wrapped my arms around their neck. They smelt so good, like a citrus forest. It was the perfect amount of muskiness. There was something else, the smell of brandy. I felt the comfort of my bed beneath me. I didn't let go I brushed my lips against his. I felt his lips crush mine as he deepened the kiss. I put my hand on the back of his head wrapping my fingers in his hair.

"Make love to me Damian." The words had escaped my lips and as soon as they did he left. I passed out, cold and alone.

I wasn't hungry not after listening to Alaric's thoughts on how hot he thought my pet was. Mine. I took another drink "Elijah, you should take it easy on the drinks."

He's one to talk, mister alcoholic when we were alone. I got up no longer hungry I headed to the living room to clear my head. Well mostly to get out of range of Alaric's. Not even five minutes later the door flew open. "Have I turned you into an alcoholic?" A very drunk Adeline came waltzing over. She was kind of cute when she wasn't angry. Alaric had turned on some music taking her hand he started to dance with her. She let out a giggle and I couldn't help myself I took Alaric's place. Dismissing him to his room. She laughed again falling onto the couch. She stretched out her black dress getting even shorter. No Elijah, she's not yours stop starring at her. I heard a gasp leave her mouth. I bit my lip picking her up. I'm just going to put her to bed, for the sake of both of us. I went to leave but she held my face close to hers. She then brushed her lips against mine. My control snapped, I deepened the kiss as she wrapped her fingers in my hair. I went to slide my tongue past her lips when she spoke. "Make love to me Damian." I immediately pulled away snapping back to reality. I knew she was drunk, but I didn't know how drunk. Who the fuck was Damian? A past lover, maybe a vampire who tried to hurt her? She wouldn't kiss you conscious, I should've known she didn't know it was me. I left the room once again hurt.
