London. Big bustling city, full of wonder and curiosity. How was I going to survive in a place like this? Looking down at the crumpled paper in my hand I find the address of my old friends flat. Well, what I assume is her flat. She only wrote the neighborhood, but I should be able to find it soon enough. The building is surrounded by police cars, but no one's stopping me, so I decide to walk in anyways. Maybe whatever crime occurred happened on a different floor? I just want a place to drop off my suitcase. As I'm trudging up the stairs with my unnecessarily heavy luggage, I'm practically knocked over by a man. A very rude man at that. He continues running down the stairs frantically, but suddenly stops. "Where did you get that suitcase?" he asks.

"Umm, it's mine, I suppose I got it from a shop?"

"So it wasn't here when you arrived?" he continues to interrogate me.

"No, why? Is it important?"

"I. Need. A. Case!" he shouts as he begins running again. I continue my way up the stairs when a shorter man with a limp walks up and apologizes for him. "I'm so sorry about him. Sherlock just gets so worked up, and he has no manners whatsoever."

"It's fine really. Are there any flats in this building? My friend was giving me the address to her place so I would have a place to stay for a while, but all she wrote was Lauriston Gardens. "

"I suppose this is the only building here, but no flats sorry. Are you sure that's what she wrote?"

I showed him the note she gave me and then asked, "What happened here anyways?"

"Another suicide. Well, my partner Sherlock thinks it's a murder, but I'm not quite sure of how sane he is."

"A murder? Dear God, that sounds terrible!" Murder is definitely a sin, but now I want to murder my friend. She wrote down a building that doesn't even have flats in it, so she obviously doesn't want me to stay with her. Now I need to find a place to stay, which is going to prove difficult considering I'm very close to broke, and she was the only person I know in London. "Do you know of any cheap hotels here?"

"Why don't you stay with Sherlock and I for a night or two? As long as you don't mind the sofa." He smiles and I mean, how bad could it be? It's free, and he seems nice. This Sherlock character seems a bit... out there, but I think I can manage, at least for a few nights until I get my act together.

"That would be super! But I did forget to ask, what's your name?"

"John Watson, and yours?"

"Aurora"

"Well, I'll be seeing you later then Aurora. And the address is 221 B Baker Street."  He smiles and hobbles down the stairs.

I follow him down and as he talks to Sherlock I hail a cab to Baker Street. Once I arrive I realize I don't have a key, so I go to the sub shop next door. Ordering my sandwich, I take a seat in the corner booth, keeping an eye on the window, waiting for John and Sherlock to return. I take a look at my phone and when I look back up I nearly scream at what--who, I see.

"Hiiiiii" he says with a smile. I say nothing and leave the booth. I hate that man, and if I ever have to talk to him again, he is going to die. And I'm not kidding.
