Alexis's POV
He looked at it, just looked. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, I stepped back scared of the man who stood before me. His right hand reached up and grabbed the smooth, black handle of my knife that lay embedded in his chest. Pulling it our the blade showed no signs of blood nor did his white shirt that now sported a small tear from where the knife pierced it. He lifted his head dropping my knife to the floor.
Footsteps echoed through the room as Dean, Sam and Melissa ran into the room. Sam and Dean had guns raised as they rounded the corner, both their faces were void of emotion as they moved with practised precision. Once they caught sight of the man Dean dropped his gun to his side and groaned running his hand through his hair in annoyance. Sam raised a eyebrow at the knife on the floor and looked over at me questioningly.
Shrugging my shoulders with a small smile etched on to my face, I watched as he shook his head. Melissa stayed back staring at man with confusion. Turning around to face Dean I watched him put his gun in the back of his jeans.
"Who is this? You lot obviously know each other." I asked watching the three an stand around eyeing each other. They ignored me as they continued to have their silent conversation. "Hello?" I questioned waving my arms around in attempt to gain their attention. Dean and Sam snapped their heads to look at us realisation dawning on them upon seeing our confused faces. Nodding my head I mouthed 'yeah'.
"This is Castiel, he's a friend. Cas this is Melissa and Alexis their mum died this morning." Dean introduce us. Smiling I looked at the knife, Cas followed my gaze before looking back at me.
"Sorry, about the knife I mean." I muttered bending down to pick the object up before tucking it away in my pocket again. He nodded before disappearing, as into thin air disappearing. Sam snorted in annoyance at the spot that once occupied Castiel. "Anyway... where to next?" I asked changing the subject. Melissa walked over joining our little group with a smile as she spotted what could only be the kitchen. Great, cooking.
"Uh I'll show to your room. I think those two are going to be preoccupied making dinner to come with." Sam answered looking at the backs of Dean and Melissa as they disappeared into the kitchen. Shrugging we began walking down another hallway passing a library along the way. Stooping I stared at all the books a small childish smile set on my face. Sam stopped and chuckled, "We can look through them after dinner. Come on," Grabbing my wrist and directing me further into the maze.
After who knows how many turns we ended up in a medium sized room. The walls were painted a light grey colour. The bed spread was mixture of light black (is that a thing?) and blues. The bedside table was a black coal colour. Smiling I dropped my bag on the floor near the door to further examine the room. Spinning back around I found Sam missing. Rolling my eyes I looked back to my room.
Reaching into my duffel bag I grabbed out my pictures and carefully set them up on my bedside table, followed by my book. I hid my sketch book and pencil case under my mattress along with the stuff from the box mum had. I folded my clothes and placed them in a set of draws that matched the bedside table. I discarded the duffel to another draw before making my way back out into the hall.
"Okay left or right?" I quietly questioned myself attempting to remember where we came from. After about ten minutes of thinking I had given up and decided to take a chance. A stupid one but one that could work. "Sammy!" I yelled oping that maybe he would hear and come get me. I heard footsteps and knew someone had heard me.
"Yeah Lexi?"He asked rounding the corner. Smiling at the nickname I looked up to meet his hazel eyes.
"I don't know where to go. And mind you I don't want to end up in some torture chamber." I said. His shoulders tensed at the mention of a chamber. Dammit please don't figure it out. He shrugged and started leading me towards the kitchen where Dean and Melissa were sitting eating and asking each other questions. Huh I could've sworn we just ate, actually that may have been a few hours ago.
I stood and watched as Sam sat down. Dean and Sam looked confused and Melissa looked apologetic. Sitting down next to Melissa I nudged her in the ribs while Sam and Dean whispered to each other. Raising my eyebrows in question she rolled her eyes and pulled me out of the room.
"What's wrong?"I asked watching her eyes dull as she hung her head in shame.
"I accidentally let it slip, Sam was coming to get you when he heard you yell for him." She whispered closing her eyes. My eyes widened in shock.
"What?" I said rather loudly but not quite a yell. She stepped into me wrapping her arms around my mid-section, my arms pulled her closer and wrapped around her shoulders. " It's okay, they were gonna find out anyway." I whispered into her hair. Pulling away we walked back into the kitchen where Sam and Dean were waiting for an explanation. Here we go boys time to know the truth...
