The Other Girl

Shan and I didn't talk too much after that. He would visit Rey and I time and now.. but it wasn't the same. It would never be the same. It hurt me. But I had to stay quiet. I kept telling myself that I cannot control someone's life.

If you love someone let them go. But if they go - did they ever even value you? Did they think when they left you alone that they are leaving one of their best friends behind?

And then comes the D-Day. The day I lost shantanu. It was 5th February, 2017. Our semester 5 result had been declared. I had topped my class. It was a big moment. I put it up on my snapstory. He saw it. I saw his snap - it was a picture of Piyusha with a caption 'when you are sick and she takes care of you like a mother' I replied to that story with a - get well soon. It had two implications- 1. Health wise. 2. SENSES WISE.

He replied with - thankyou and congrats etc. But he didn't call. A guy who would have called me first on getting to know this VIA REYANSH didn't call me. I waited. And in the evening I texted him - Will say one thing

You were the kind of guy who would have called instantly on seeing my marks and all you did was texted on snap chat when i asked you to get well soon and then you commented on my picture and that was it.
This doesn't mean that i want a phonecall from you now (or ever for that matter of fact) I have obviously stopped expecting things from you. However, i felt bad here.
Ofcourse you are too busy nowadays to make time for anyone :)

He replied with a lot of sorrys and that he had no balance in his cell. I told him I didn't care about that. Also, I told him - This isn't about the marks only and you know that.

He called Reyansh up. Piyusha was with him at that minute. He started explaining to Rey - what is wrong and what happened? Rey said -" she is pissed with you since you never told her about your relationship. Everyone knew except us."
Shan - "How could I have told her? You remember that day when She turned away from piyusha at her face and left? She has feelings too. Why would she do that?" To sound a little neutral, Reyansh said that it was her fault and we all agree. Yash and I had explained it to her. But why did you not tell her?
Shan again pointed out another fault -" That day at the mall, she texted me like that. You must be knowing. Piyusha saw that. She felt very bad. She kept asking me what have I done that she hates me so much?"
What has she done. Yeah. She has done nothing. She is a baby. An innocent baby. -SARCASM INTENDED-
To this Rey replied- " Has she ever wronged you. Whenever you came to her with a problem, who has been there with you throughout? Whatever picture you have painted in her head about Piyusha - that is stuck in her head. You never told about the good that you see in her. She has never been wrong about all this in your case. Did you seriously consider all this once? Has she ever said anything wrong to you based on whatever you have told her? Yes she wouldn't have liked the fact that you people are in a relationship but she would have understood. "
Shan started explaining again and in the middle of the talks that were going on between Shan and Rey she screamed - " Why are you giving so many explanations? What have we done?"
That bitch had the audacity to scream and talk between two people who have been friends longer than I have known shan. They have been friends since childhood. She had the audacity to speak in between.
I hate her now.
But wait a minute, who gave her the power to speak? SHANTANU. It was his fault too. Had he not authorised her she would not have spoken between two seniors.

I was angry. I was more than angry. I told Reyansh I want to see this guy tomorrow. Rey texted him to beware and to not to talk to me till I cool off. But I wasn't going to cool off. I was on fire.
Next day, I texted Shan to meet me.
He texted Rey- what should I do? Shall I reply Aanchal?
And i took the cell from Rey and replied - Now Rey will tell you when to reply me or when to not? I want to meet you right now.

He called Reyansh and I picked up.
