Claire Grey was a beautiful girl. She had the face of an angel and the heart of one. She had much to live for. It was just a shame she was born into the wrong family. But once she had her daughter, Anne-Marie, she promised to change her life and give Anne-Marie the life she never had. She wanted her daughter to have a good education, love, friends, materiel possessions she never had. She worked for it and never stopped. Drugs, stripping, pole dancing, she did it all just for her. Anne-Marie could have never asked for anything better.

Until She turned 15.

Claire was waking back home from a night out on the pole when it happened. She had reached the small all hours cafe and was just about to have a smoke before something within her went wrong. The waitress working that night said she saw the women drop like a stone to the floor. Blood had seeped from her ears and eyes and nose and mouth... She died before the paramedics reached her. Death of blood loss because of a cerebral Aneurysm.

Anne-Marie was told that her mother had excessive blood clotting so she took herbal remedies to control it. But it wasn't enough. The young girl was took into the care system until the age of 16 where She left to start her own life. A life that fell into darkness quickly.

Not a day goes by where She doesn't think about her mother, where She misses her, but She couldn't dwell on the past.

A women lay on a bed, a small smile on her lips as she stared at the small baby beside her. Her daughter's head was resting on her arm as she held the girl's arm.

"You will never come to harm," the women whispers softly, in order not to wake the baby, "I will always protect you. I love you so much. I love you, Annie. My world, My Home."

The baby stirs slightly in her sleep, cuddling closer to her mother. The women began to Humm a tune to the child, creating a small smile on the baby's face before adding lyrics.

"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby even when the musics gone, gone..."
