"We need to buy you some clothes," I mumbled incoherently to myself as I looked through my closet. I wasn't searching for any of my clothes since I knew Sehun obviously wouldn't fit in them, don't be stupid. I was searching in Baekhyun's clothes that I had stacked previously beside my own folded outfits in my wardrobe. My hands were visibly shaking, my eyes were disoriented from lack of sleep. It has been officially four days since I've found Sehun, and let me tell you, it was four days of horror.
Yesterday, I told Sehun he could try and sleep in my room this time instead of the card to try the way of humans and how we hibernate. He had agreed so fast it made me wonder if I made the right decision. Apparently; I didn't. Sehun was awake the entire night, gossiping about the dragons he had caught earlier in the day, and the fairies of the dark forest he, and I quote, 'found myself wander into while I was busy saving the princess of Cilicest,' I don't know if Cilicest is a name of the city he created in his head, or the name of the said princess. I told Sehun to just go to sleep and he had accused me of being against his rights and that I wasn't treating him good as I told him I would.
So I just let him speak gibberish while I tried to sleep myself. Since I'm a light sleeper, I couldn't even have a wink of sleep and was awake all night listening to his rants, until it was morning where he told me he wanted to experience human food and demanded that I make him some breakfast. I wanted him to feel as comfortable as he can, as normal as he wanted to be, so I didn't exactly protest and hurried to make him the meal he desired. Of course after he had tried the cereal I made him, he told me it was the worst experience in his life.
Now, it was already nearing afternoon, and I was so, so tired that I could fall down in any place and fall asleep. But instead of sleeping, I decided to change my clothes and wear something proper. I found Baekhyun's outfit clean and folded beside mine, and I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. He was very soft spoken, he was kind; and he actually tried to cooperate with me – unlike some spoiled brat – I kind of miss him, despite the awful things he had tried to do to me. I know he has a reason for trying to murder me – it better be a damn good one – and I know I should give him a chance. But Sehun was so overwhelming, so bothering that it give me no time to think about ideas of handling Baekhyun. I didn't even release him from his card for four days now, and I wonder if something would happen to him.
There was a snort from behind me, coming straight from my bed. I didn't look back from my distress to know Sehun was mocking me. "Oh wow, you figured that yourself, little girl?" I sighed heavily at him and turned around to see him lying down on my bed like he owns it, his eyes looking at the ceiling and looking all knowing. Sometimes I wondered if Sehun actually knew something I didn't. But the moment he starts mumbling about his invisible dragons and fairies, I start doubting him.
"Just wear this at the moment. I have to go ask for money," I weakly threw a pair of sweats at him and a large t-shirt I had stolen from my dad once when I realized it had a Brooklyn sign on it, which is my absolute favorite. Sehun huffed at me, and looked at the clothes with a blank look before taking them and vanishing inside his card. I blew on a defeated sigh before I head downstairs.
"Mom?" I called out for her with a low voice, having no energy left for me to use my megawatt voice. My mom replied back at me from the kitchen, and I could have imagined my dad grunting at me as a reply. I strolled inside the kitchen absentmindedly, not even bothering to sit down at the table – was my mom making food? For what occasion?
"Honey, can you wait for a bit? I'm making this cupcake for your dad..—holy shit baby girl, what happened to you?" My mother doesn't really curse, so I must look like a complete wreck. I looked away from her horrified eyes, and looked down at my outfit. It wasn't anything much, but it wasn't rags as well, so I bet it was my nest-like hair and swollen eyes that attracted this look on my mother's face. I looked at my father with a sad pout, and he choked on his hot tea when he realized I did in fact look like a monster.
