SURPRISE!

I haven't heard from Midnight since Ben and Jerry's and Dove has been acting funny lately with her mood swings and all. Must be her period.

I called Midnight's phone earlier, but still no answer which has me worried a bit. She is the only one that can spark me up and give me life.... in other words, make me happy.

"Qua' sean!!!" I hurried downstairs to Rochelle who was rubbing on her huge belly "She kicked my ribs"

"You need to get to the hospital?" she shook her head as she continued rubbing her stomach "You hungry? Maybe it's hungry"

"Yeah, I'd like some food"

I walked to the kitchen and made her a ham and roast beef sandwich with a glass of Minute Maid Fruit punch on the side "Thank You, you're the best bro ever" I smiled as she took a huge chunk from the bread

"How you doing, you know, since it keeps kicking?" I sat on the edge of the sofa

"She, it's a girl damn! But you know I'm doing fine, I just wish her father could have been here" her eyes went low as she drank some punch "I really miss him"

"He isn't doing anything he ain't suppose to, I mean he calls everyday" I placed my hand on her shoulder looking at her curly hair

"Yeah, but that isn't the same as being next to him, feeling his breath or his touch, just isn't the same" she shook her head

I sighed "I know how that feels, and I c-"

"You don't really know how I feel because all you three are doing is playing fetch the frisbee which is puppy love, I don't mean to get you down and all, but it's the truth. You guys know nothing about love and if you don't stop playing games, you ain't gonna find it lil bro. Listen to me, keep this information stored because I can assure you this will come handy in the future" she said running out of breathe

I nodded as my lip twisted "You right, I just don't know how to move on from here, not like this" I sighed "The fame is a factor in my relationships also, but I don't know"

She patted my back and stood from the couch making her way back to her bedroom dragging her feet along the rug.

I looked at the soft white cushions and sunk into it. I looked up at the ceiling hoping it could make out a sign, but hey, that's only my imagination. Everything ain't gonna go as I wanted or planned so why bother.

I checked my phone for any missed calls or unread messages from Midnight, but none at all. I swear she forgot my existence just like I did her a few times.

I heard a loud belch coming from the stairs and I looked up to see Dove with her night gown on.

"Morning babe" I said in a low tone

She stretched out standing on her tippy toes "Morning, you sound so down. What's wrong?"

My eyes followed her as she searched the living room "Nothing, I just...I-I don't even know"

She kneeled looking under the coffee table "Kenton been giving you problems?" she kept on searching for something

"No, no. What are you looking for? All your moving around is making me dizzy" I palmed my forehead

"I misplaced something I really wanted to show you, so now I have to look for it"

"What was it?" I sat up straight on the couch

"I want to surprise you, so I can't tell you until I find it" she smiled as she looked behind the sixty two inch wide flat screen tv

I gulped and nodded as I removed myself from her mysterious mind. I walked up the stairs and decided to take a shower and head to Midnight's house to see if she's okay or not.
