4: Welcome Home Avalon

     I sat on my bed looking through old photos of Shawn and I and smiled at how silly we were and how dumb we acted. My smile faded when I came across a photo with the caption forever wanted ❤️. I'm beginning to hate the word forever as I'm noticing it has the word over in it. My phone buzzed  and it was text from my mom. 
From mommy💜: Honey I think we need to get together and resolve this.
To mommy💜: I guess we could. I hate not being around for my baby sister. She barely knows me and Dad and I are so far apart now.
From mommy💜: Ok come by the house and we can talk. Bring Shawn if you'd like. 😌

I sighed and clicked my phone off. I grabbed a black north face jacket and my white chuck Taylor's then headed out the door. I planned on getting my car back. I'm so tired of über. I thanked the driver and handed him some money. I walked up to the house and knocked on the door. It felt weird knocking on the door of a house I grew up in. My mother opened with that smile. She was holding Gina who was sucking on her thumb.

"Ava you don't have to knock" she giggled.

"Uh sorry I just-

"Come in. Your father should be home in a minute. He was with Uncle Cam discussing Magcon"

"Oh are they doing that again? I thought that was over" I replied.

"Fans have been begging for a comeback tour and your dad thinks it's a good idea" mom shrugged.

"Mom I'm sorry about the fight between dad and I. It's just I really do love Shawn. He's probably the only guy I've ever loved and he made me so happy" I replied with my voice choking.

"Oh sweetie" my mom cooed as she wrapped her arms around me.

I missed this feeling....I missed being held and comforted. I felt tiny arms wrap around my leg and looked down at Gina.

"Happy sissy" she said.

I wiped my tear off and picked her up. She looked so much like me it was crazy. {Pic of Ava and Gina above}

"Sissys ok" I sniffled.

"You really love him don't you?" My dads voice said from behind us.

My mother and I turned around and my dad looked riddled with regret. If only he knew....

"I do but it doesn't matter now" I said putting Gina down.

"What do you mean?" My mom asked.

"Shawn kind of-

"Don't say it Ava I'll kill him where he stands!" My dad growled.

I looked up and my dad was fuming.

"Ava I'm so sorry" Mom cooed.

I hugged her tightly and my dad joined.

"It's going to be ok baby girl I promise" my dad said stroking my hair.

"I'm just thankful I have a great family to lean on"

"Oh family is forever" Mom said.

"I'm actually getting really tired of hotels so I was wondering if maybe-

"Welcome home Avalon"

I smiled and realized maybe things wouldn't be so bad. I still didn't have Shawn but he didn't want me it seems like but I wasn't gonna let my summer get ruined. We ate dinner and caught up on things. Caleb and Hazel are still on their honeymoon and I bet dad twenty bucks Hazel would wind up pregnant again. The night was good overall, I mean we fixed our problem and now I'm back with my family.
      "So Ava I was thinking maybe we could go shopping or something tomorrow? We haven't spent a lot of time together lately" my mom said later that evening.

"Uh yeah that could be fun" I replied smiling.

"Great. I'm just so happy my family is together" she said leaving the room.

I lay on my bed and Shawn kept popping up in my head. I wanted him so badly. Right now we would be cuddling or doing something together but instead he's probably hooking up with the blonde bleach bottle while I sit here with my heart aching.

"Shawn" I whispered as I looked blankly out of the window he would sneak in and out of.

I looked away and decided to get some rest. I was hurting but I didn't want to ruin my mom and I's plans. She was happy and who am I to take that? I curled under my blankets and shut my eyes hoping this was only a dream....
